"Don’t waste your time and money at Mitchel’s Park or any Nexus property. They focus on making money, not the well-being of their residents. From constant leaks from my upstairs neighbor’s shower to a mice infestation they refused to handle, I could not have felt less valued as a resident. If you do decide to move here, don’t plan on receiving any of your security deposit back no matter how well you maintained your apartment."
"In 2021 my girlfriend lived amongst mice and ants in her ground-level apartment at Mitchel’s Park. There was no urgency to stop either infestation, and she had to wait around a week until their biweekly scheduled exterminator would be on the property. We had to put tape around all the corners and ceilings of the apartment along with over-air vents to stop the ants from coming in masses. Once the exterminator came out, we asked if they could remove the tape. Mitchel’s Park denied our request because, according to Sam, the property manager….it’s a “liability issue.” I've included photos of both mouse droppings and ants coming out of the ceiling air vent as well as some pictures of how clean we kept the apartment. Reluctantly, we both applied to move back to Mitchel’s Park on Sunday as we are in desperate need of finding an apartment that is affordable amongst the housing crisis. We looked on their website and saw there were three units available. One of which would work for us. So we both submitted applications along with a $50 deposit each. I called on Wednesday to check the status of our application. Not only had they not been looked through… The apartment isn’t even available. It’s pending. I said that it was not mentioned on their website and asked if I could have our application deposit back as that listing is the reason we applied. Erin in the office said that if I emailed them before submitting our applications, they would’ve told me it was pending and that they do not refund application deposits. $100 gone in seconds."
"I was a resident here for one year and I have nothing but good things to say! On move in day the process was easy and my apartment was ready to be moved into. The office and maintenance staff were both quick and easy to work with. I had very few small maintenance issues that were always quickly fixed. Erin in the office was always quick to get back to me as well. My neighbors were also awesome and the location was great. As far as previous reviews about not getting your security deposit back, I’d have to assume that the reason they didn’t get it back is because the apartment was damaged as this was not the case for me. If it weren’t for relocation, I would have loved to continue living at Mitchel’s Park!"
"Now that the management has changed for the better I will update my review. Now if my AC can work this summer and my apartment stays below 75 degrees, I will update to 5. That's truly the only issue I've ever had. And I get it, we live on the third floor. Otherwise, I love the area, I love my apartment, we've been here for 4 years now and aside from the last manager and my AC issues, I've never had a problem!"
"I lived at Mitchel's Park for one year in 2016-2017. I only moved because my kid hated Beechwood schools (and I wasn't a fan either). We moved to River Ridge district and love it. We have had nothing but a nightmare with the new apartment complex though. It made me think of how great we had it at Mitchel's Park and the tiny things we took for granted. I don't remember needing maintenance to do anything substantial. They had a schedule to change the air filters periodically. There weren't any issues getting the deposit back when we moved out. Again, with the hell that we have been dealing with at the new place, it made me appreciative of Mitchel's Park and compelled me to write a review."
