"I would not recommend Corporate Lodgings. The company I worked for used them for an apartment at the Pine Ridge Apartments in Willoughby Hills, Ohio I used for a little less than a year. Throughout this time a person hit my new F-150 and left the scene of the accident. This took place in front of a video camera that they have in the lobby, but they refused to review the video to help identify the culprit. After speaking with the security guard at the front gate of the property he explained that they are not allowed to effectively perform there job due to the red tape between the security company and the apartment complex. As he stated they are just there for looks. The total damage cost over $3,000, but my deductible was $500. That very same truck was broken into weeks later. Again, nothing could be done. When winter came they never took care of the parking lots. In fact most people chose to walk in the snow rather than the sidewalk due to the poor conditions throughout the entire property. Same truck was rear-ended due to the ice which just so happened to be right in front of the guard shack. As I stepped out of my truck to inspect the damage, I slipped and fell. The guard who watch the accident and watched me fall then came out to sprinkle salt around the guard shack. I explained to him that the little bit of salt that he sprinkled did nothing for the parking lot and drive and likened the driving surfaces to a skating rink. He replied and said that people were just driving too fast. This was during the morning rush and there were at least 30-40 cars waiting for the red light to turn green. I was the 5th car in this line of vehicles. How was anyone speeding and how is that related to me slipping and falling when getting out of my truck? To which he had no reply. If this was not enough when I checked out of the apartment I was assessed a $50 fee to replace a set of sheets. When I asked why the lady provided no further details just that they needed replaced. While I did have pictures and videos of the apartment of the day I moved out, I did not have pictures of the sheets just the video showing that there were sheets on the bed. I asked again to provide some sort of details as to why the sheets needed replaced, she smugly responded and just said they needed replaced and told me the cost of a set of sheets. What's sad is that I begged them to do a walk through when my roommate left and when I left to avoid this whole situation. The response I got was that it's not their policy to do that. While I appreciate the company I work for for having a service like this to help those out who do not live here locally. Had I known what I know now I would have just commuted in every day....consider yourself warned. I haven't even discussed the unclean conditions of the hallways, stairwells, elevators, and other community type areas."
