"I’ve supported St Vincent DePaul quite a lot over the years with donations and referred a lot of people there for the same. This morning ended that. I checked the website for donation times. Clearly states 8:30 on Saturday. Drove all the way there with a car load of items. Several people standing outside smoking at the Edwin C Moses location. I pulled up at 9;50. Got a lot of baleful looks, but no greeting. I waited a few minutes; still nothing. I finally rolled my window down and said, “ Can I leave my donation?” Ignored. I ask a little louder. “when we open” is the response I got. I was forced to ask when that might be. “10” and then she turned her back on me. Goodwill got my items this time. At least they aren’t rude."
"Bring your boxing gloves!! As bins are brought out, people are like Marines attacking an enemy bunker. Glass breaking, people throwing stuff....No respect for the merchandise. Like a bunch of animals!!"
"I have been here many times over the years and could always rely on it for things I needed quick with minimal money. NOW the prices are ridiculous they ought to be ashamed. A table and chairs that was decent $498 and clean looking or decent beds $119-149. Now this is USED VERY USED furniture people. You almost have to fight the people who come in everyday and will rush the carts as they are brought out. Im NOT FIGHTING TO GET MY KIDS SOME PLATES TO EAT ON AND A CHAIR TO SIT ON ARE YOU SERIOUS...THEY WILL FIGHT YOU. I very disappointed to return to this store after about 6 years last time I was there and this is what you have to do to get a decent set of furniture. They. should really get that under control. Like dont bring carts out when patrons are there it incites drama. SMH VERY DISAPPOINTED."
"LOVE the store. As any thrift store, it is a hit or miss. You have to go frequently. I have found some awesome merchandise for such good prices. Staff are always friendly and helpful."
"Never have found anything to buy here. Too expensive, especially the furniture! Maybe in '09 there was inexpensive furniture, but I have never found anything worthwhile! Just avoid. _________UPDATE: Although the main store is not worth visiting, the newer area in back is, especially for architectural salvage! They opened the large warehouse area in the back and it is chocked full of parts of old homes, and the prices are quite decent. 4 stars for the salvage and still 1 for the store itself."
