"Service department is very slow at getting approval for repairs from MFG. Unit has been in service since Oct 2023 and still in service Feb 2024. Purchased the unit not even a year a go for over 80k and now trade in is only worth 46k through them. Be advised when dealing with camping world of rossford. When going paper work found several different numbers that did not jive to the qoute. I'd never return to purchase. It's bad when another camping world sales person and manager states they over priced that unit and you were taken advantage of! Not a warm an fuzzy! Also don't bother calling Marc's line never no return calls its just a gimmick to get you to feel comfortable!"
"EDIT: So I found out that Forest River no longer makes the door mentioned below. The problem arises that I talked to Forest River Customer Service directly, and was told by them that Huber Heights Camping World was notified the day after the original order was placed in September that the door was no longer made. I wasn't told by Camping World until shortly before Christmas roughly 3 months later. Totally inexcusable by either the Parts folks who were supposedly ordering the door, and/or the Service folks who were supposed to be getting the door in as their technicians damaged it. Stay very far away from here I took my trailer to the Huber Heights Camping World to have a refrigerator replaced. They were the only ones in the local ("
"I don't normally do this but after my recent experience decided I had to. I also responded to a survey sent by Camping World but don't expect to to get a response. I thought it is necessary to post a comment directly on the Huber Heights location since that is where my experience occurred. Our camper was at this location for over two months to have what we were told was a simple recall performed (less than 1 hours labor), our awning arm adjusted (1/2 hour most), and winterization (about an hour). So lets go with 3 hours. Well considering camper was there for 60 plus days, they had over 1,440 hours to get it done yet we dealt with 3 different service advisors of which none of them provided status. The only one who was helpful was Shiloh and she ended up quitting. Every time we called and someone actually answered it was a different excuse "parts are on order, the wrong parts were ordered, parts still haven't arrived, it's next in the bay, and then finally my favorite it will be done by tomorrow"; when in fact it was not ready for 4 more days yet no one had the decency to update us. Because of how long our camper was there i lost several hundred dollars paying for storage when my camper wasn't even in storage. To add to it all the service advisor tried to charge me for warranty repairs which I refused and was not going to apply a 10% coupon because it expired only because how long it took to get our camper repaired. So I took the winterization ad on the screen and had that applied which ended up saving me like $15 more than if they took the coupon. Unless I receive a personal response on what is being done to fix this issue I will find another location even if iI have to drive a lot further and it costs me more money. This is by far the worst customer service/repair experience to date. I cannot believe corporate or management is not aware of the issues especially with all the turnover with personnel. Someone needs to really shake things up at this location."
"A few weeks ago I interviewed with Rob, (the service manager), and another gentleman for the service advisor position. With over 40 years of camping experience and extensive knowledge in the travel trailer industry, this position was exactly what I was looking for. Upon interviewing, we discussed various items such as improving their customer service experience from their 3.9 review to a plan with one well in the mid 4's. We then discussed communication and how it is imperative that Camping World, provide employees/customers with the proper metrics to achieve this. Upon completion of the interview, Rob asked me if I would be available on Saturday for a second phone call, informing me of their selection process and results. Unfortunately, I never did hear back from Rob, calling 3 times in the following two weeks leaving my name and number for a return phone call, but still no response. I am extremely dissatisfied with the lack of communication and the false promises that were made during the interview process. I can only image that, if this is how the interview process went, the reasoning behind their unsatisfied customers and dissatisfaction with the repair process. Providing customer service is a top priority and it is now apparent to me why the customer service lacks at Camping World and why several of their stores have closed up shop. I would have loved the opportunity to bring new insight and implement my plan to improve the customer service experience to this business; however, with lack of communication at Camping World, I can see that this isn't as much of a priority as previously mentioned in the interview."
"I would give 0 stars if it were possible. I have had the single worse customer service and repair service in my 65 years on the planet. I just picked up my RV from them which was in for warranty repairs. When I got the vehicle home the repairs they said were done, were not. Not even close. Apparently they have zero quality control. There are so many issues that I don't have the time or energy to list them all here, but these are the main complaints. - Most egregious is they say they completed one of the repairs, and even reported that it took them 2 hours to do it, and unbelievably it wasn't even touched. They must have fixed someone else's unit because the part they say was replaced, is not even there! - There are issues on the service order that were not even addressed. - They NEVER return phone calls. I have had to call again, and again, and again to get information about the status of my RV. - They deny issues that they tell me are basically because it needs normal maintenance that I have not done. I reported this particular issue originally when I had had the unit for less than a month. If it's a maintenance issue, it should have been done by the dealer before I drove it off the lot. - Most of these issues I reported to my original dealership in Minnesota last winter/early spring. I could not wait for parts up there, but they generated a work order that I gave to the Huber Heights location. I reviewed these with the tech at Huber Heights and he made a new work order which I reviewed, but several of those issues are not listed on the supposed "completed" work order. I don't know what happened to the original work order, but it is not the same as the one I received today. There is more, but I'm too angry to continue listing them. I would advice to NEVER by a Thor Motor Coach product, and if you feel you must, DO NOT purchase it from Camping World."
