"Friday is payday and I love that this store always has a separate line for those of us who come to cash our checks. After a long day at work, we get our money quickly and go home."
"The workers here are so great. They’re all very friendly and always perform my transactions quickly and accurately. Because of this, It remains to be my favorite PLS location!!"
"I've been coming here for years, during which I've cashed 100K+ in client checks. Tonight I did the same with 1.5K check to pay the gentlemen who work for me. Unfortunately, ONE 1.6K check, I cashed here, during the summer bounced. So instead of warning me or notifying me ahead of time, they simply kept the money from my new check. I spoke with the manager Efrain, who seemed to take the stance that his hands are tied. I soke with that 77 yr old client who bounced my check and she's coming tomorrow morning to pay it. Some may say that PLS is their owed money and so forth, understood. However, a better business practice would have been to give a customer of many years, the benefit of the doubt or upfront notice rather than to take my money and tell me after the fact. That's shady, not "collecting a debt". I guess business is business. No sense of community or compassion."
"I came to this location on Nov. 3, to make a money order other people behind me were waiting as well. Although I know people have to wait in line. My complaint is that there was also a line for people that were cashing checks. The problem here is that they took everyone that had came way after the people in line, to cash there checks. I don't think that it's right for everyone to wait because they were all changing checks . In the meantime there's an elderly couple behind me with a cane. And yet they were complaining as well, but even though people were giving complaints none of the cashier's didn't seem to care. We shouldn't have to wait because we didn't have checks."
"I came to the location on 4400 armitage, to get my plate sticker renewed. There was an issue with the printer, where it printed information on my plate sticker that had nothing to do with my registration. The employee helping me noticed this, but still used the same sheet for my registration. I asked the manager if I could get a new sticker and registration card. She said that she could reprint the card but the sticker would have to remain the same, because they had already registered it to my plates. I asked her if that was the only thing they could do. To which she replied that she could cancel out the registration and print a new one, and that I would have to wait, which I had no problem with. I had to push a little for her to go the route of printing me a new sticker and card. I don’t believe it’s right to have a mistake the business made fall on the customer, just because the employees don’t want to do a few more minutes of work. She did give me what I asked, but was very resistant of doing it. She spent more time trying to convince me to accept their mistake than to actually just give me a new sticker. As a manager she is the person that is supposed to set the expectation of work performance for all other employees. It’s not good business when the manager is preferring to cut corners and leaving customers to deal with the mess the store made, than to just fix it."
