"I just wanted to give some much deserved belated praise to the crew at Confident Tire, who are not only professional and easy to work with, but they ended up saving me a lot of money, while going above and beyond what a normal customer service experience would entail. I travel often for work and I am out of town frequently. I went to go renew my license sticker for my birthday, but was told the E check technician that I would automatically fail due to a check engine light. i said that I would take the paperwork in order to show the time stamp to anyone who would inquire, but the situation ended up causing me a lot of stress. The mechanic who I previously took my car to had retired and moved out of town, and the foreign car specialists had appointments that would be available more than a week later that I needed. I reluctantly took the later appointment, but I got nervous and tired of waiting, and so I took my car to the mechanics at Confident Tire, who my husband had been going to for a long time, and had a very good working relationship with. I became very stressed because at that time, my plate had then expired, and I was very nervous driving to the mechanic. They were very friendly and cracked several jokes, which broke the ice, and made me feel much less stressed. I showed them the paperwork from my old mechanic, and explained that based on a previous inspection, what I thought the cause of the CE light might be. They took notes and brought out their equipment, and after checking the code, explained that they needed to make an inspection, if it would be okay to bring the car back and have the inspection done the next day, and order the part, etc. The next day, they brought up the part on the computer screen (the one that I told them I thought it might be based on my previous inspection,) and explained what they thought the cost might be etc. I expressed interest in fixing the one offending issue, getting an Echeck waiver, then getting whatever else was potentially wrong with it fixed over time, because my top priority was to renew the sticker on the license plate. The next day, when we returned to pick up the car, I was in for a surprise. What actually happened was that my car’s computer must have been somehow throwing codes, because when they performed the full inspection, the check engine light was no longer illuminated. They explained that sometimes this can happen in the wintertime on my particular vehicle, and that they tested the car six times to be sure, and the check engine light did not illuminate. They then went to the E check place for me and got the passing results, and handed them over to me and said “your complete total for today is 26 dollars.” I was stunned. They didn’t have to do that, but they did it so that I could feel safe and secure while driving to the license bureau. I was also surprised by the price. My previous mechanic had charged me 200 dollars for a complete diagnostic, and had reset the car for the exact same reason last winter. It was amazing that I was out of the door for under 30 dollars. They assured me that unless there was truly a problem, the check engine light would not illuminate, which was why they started the car and took it around the block to test if it would illuminate SIX TIMES, because they wanted to be sure that my CE light would not illuminate again. If I could rate my overall experience with stars, I would rate: 10/10 stars for affordability 10/10 stars for transparency 10/10 stars for their professionalism 100/10 Stars for their Integrity, and for going above and beyond with excellent customer service. That’s 130/40 stars. Needless to say, I will be returning to Confident Tire for my car’s mechanical repairs and inspections. :)"
