"I’m not the one to complain however this child care facility went from a great place to a unprofessional mess. My son has attended Nicole’s Nest since he was 4 months and now he’s 13 months. I’m unsure how this child care facility has 5 star rating. In the beginning my son was happy to attend. He was always clean, at pick up, and he was always smiling and wanting to go. However a couple months ago he started crying at drop off. I had received a notice that my son was biting and I was told to send him toys. I did just that. No other complaints were made regarding biting. However then I received a call stating his nails were a bit long and he scratched someone. They asked if they could clip his nails and I said that’s fine. Last week I received a text message asking if we could have a meeting to “get on the same page” regarding my 13 month old. I had a meeting and at the meeting the owner/director who will see you at the door and will not greet you, had the nerve to tell me she understands a baby will bite however she’s never had a child in her care out of 20+ years that bite. I found this hard to believe. So I continue to allow her to address the “issues” they were having with my 13 month old. I told Nicole no issues other than the 1st time was ever discussed with me. My 13 month at home doesn’t bite the other babies I have at home so I was surprised that it was still an issue. She then proceeded to say that my son would need to take a 30 days break from her child care center. I had already been in search of a new child care center because this child care center doesn’t provide food. I found this very awkward because I have 2 other children and I never had to prepare food for a baby. Also, when my son was able to eat solids “doctor’s order” this child care center told me that I had to provide him baby food until he was 1 year old age. I could not provide him with solids until the day he turned 1. Then I provided bibs because everyday at pick up my son would be so dirty. Although I provided bibs the child care teachers would not use them. His nose would’ve runny and crusted at pick up also. To mention how many days they are closed was another issue. They were really closed, July 1st, 4th and 5th. Not to mention how many “training days/ vacation days” they had. Barely open for working families. This is not a in home child care this is a actual child care center. Nicole’s Nest is 5 stars because she is taking the lazy way out. No meals being prepared, barely doing anything with the kids. They kids doesn’t even learn anything. However they are charging more than most child care centers. The good thing is I had already reached out to child care centers so his last day was going to be today. Dissatisfied with this child care center. I don’t believe my baby was the problem I think that because this is a black own business and I have court proceedings with someone they are family with she is being spiteful."
"Place is amazing! My son has so much fun there and they make learning fun for toddlers! They are hands on and will spend one-on-one time with your child if they are behind the others!! Amazing staff and beautiful facility!!"
"Would not recommend! Had an incident where I was ten minutes outside of the drop off time (10am) and was denied service for the day. The staff on duty refused to open the door, despite the fact that someone was walking right past & another was in the office. After standing there for ten minutes even gettin someone on the phone, no one came to the door to even top matters off I left a message to speak with the director and NEVER received a call back. I would not recommend because there is clearly a disconnect from staff to administration. Yes, we were late and I would have been absolutely fine with a polite turn around but the fact that we we blatantly ignored was a immediate flag for me. My son has since been withdrawn and coming into week two I have still Not heard from the director Two stars are for cleanliness of center!"
