"I enjoy the softball fields around there so much! We had a blast! The Metro Park ranger showed up to put on the lights for us and it was perfect! Great space."
"A really beautiful area with a decent hike through the wooded areas. The closeness to the river rivals the view from atop the overlook, but allows for some gorgeous scenery and sights that are missed from far above. Would definitely recommend coming here and walking the trail!"
"Pollutants are everywhere (especially beer bottles) in the woods behind the shelter!! There are clearly posted signs in every park in the system which says “NO ALCOHOL ALLOWED.” A lot of people disregard them!! They need to have a park ranger on duty and issue citations to violators!! People must realize it is a state in addition to a local level offense!! It’s an absolute pain to remove the pollutants. Come on people, it’s common sense to use the waste receptacles and not throw trash into the woods!!! This review was generated by an environmentalist."
"Nice hill for sled riding, alot of space and love the bug fire pit area to warm up at"
"The place was nice and secluded. Trash recpticals were good and there were multiple. One park staff lady was very rude and mean to us, accused us of drinking alcohol when we had none. Made people pour out there drinks, (cans of pop and containers.) Then stayed and lerked around as if she was determined to catch us doing something wrong. Eventually she left and another gentleman park ranger stopped by to make sure we were leaving on time and to tell us to make sure we cleaned up, as we were already in the act of clearly cleaning up. We left the place cleaner than what we found it."
