"bartender immediately yelled at me for sitting on my knee at the bar. lost at least a 30 dollar tip. walked out immediately. probably should invest in a better bartender."
"My brother was in from out of town . He wanted to shoot some pool and enjoy some music. Had a good time. Thank you."
"They don't serve food but there's a great restaurant across the street, if you like dive bars then this is your place"
"On its surface, this place has the potential to be a great spot to grab a drink and play pool. Unfortunately though, not all are welcome here. From the moment we walked in, racism was teeming through the establishment from the employees to the patrons. Upon entry, the “bouncer” felt the need to say to one of only two black patrons in the entire building, “don’t start anything and we won’t have trouble.” Why do you think he singled out the only person of color before he had even stepped through the door, but didn’t say that to me or to the white men that we were with? I’ll let you decipher that one. We continued to experience racism from the bartender as well as the patrons at the bar until we decided it was better just to leave. Other places deserve your money in Amherst. This isn’t the one. Do better."
"Last night was the first time I'd been there in about 8 years. My buddy and I went out for a few drinks and we had always liked the Cedar pub, which is still cash only. I asked what was on tap and the woman made a face and pointed without saying anything. I ordered a dortmunder on tap and immediately could taste it was flat. It was really bad and it took a long time to get the bartender's attention. I politely explained to her the beer was flat and she made a face and said "Well that's funny people have ordered it all day and no one has complained". I told her they were probably buzzed or drunk and didn't notice and that I don't want my money back just give me something different. She acted like it was a big ordeal and made another comment on how the beer in the keg is fine. After she gave me my new choice, she went over to the other girl bartending and made a comment about me because they both looked and snickered. On our way out, a girl was ordering mixed drinks and I jokingly told her to taste them before she pays for them and she looked at me and told me how she didn't want to be there because the bartender making them, same lady I had, always makes them wrong and doesn't know what she is doing anytime they come in. The bartender had long black hair, she was Caucasian, but used a tanning bed quite a bit. Aweful attitude. Also, my buddy's fat tire tasted funny from the keg, but he didn't want to say anything."
