"I ordered rice and beans with pork. The pork was on the drier side but really enjoyed the skin they threw in with it. This was the same way my momma made it. The plantains tasted really weird like dog fur and pork oil after taste, I am not sure if that's normal or not but it wasn't pleasant at all. The empanadas were good and always a favorite! I got the chicken one."
"Great Cuban food. Firstly, this is really more of a take out place than an eat in place so keep that in mind. The food here is outstanding. Authentic with some decent variety and a decent value. I've eaten here a dozen or so times eating several dishes and have yet to be disappointed. The one thing I always come away with on top of everything else are their tasty cubanos sandwiches. You're going to get a sizable portions of well prepared food (not just a bunch of fillers). The staff here is friendly but often distracted. You'll get good service, but not always fast. It'll be easier if you speak Spanish but English is just fine."
"Second updated review . Nov 2023 I’d give it 5 stars but the food even though it looks delicious it’s super super salty. May I give the chef a good recommendation use the pink salt not the iodine white salt and do not use them premade Goya seasonings. It’s called Himalayan salt and has like 80 trace minerals ."
"Was very disappointed to see that their sandwich prices have gone up and the quality of the sandwich has gone down. This is my $12 pastrami sandwich with a tomato, a strip of lettuce and a burned piece of pastrami."
"Great place. Puertorrican food is always fresh and delicious. Thank you for your hospitality and for helping us with the best selection. See you soon.!"
