"Everything we ate was amazing. Started with the tuna and cornbread, my husband had the bisque, and we got the pork and duck with a side of grits and black eyed peas. Finished with the bread pudding. The pear cocktail was outstanding as well, not overly sweet and tasted exactly like a pear! Also, we got a couple bottles of hot sauce to go, bc that stuff was killer. We already booked our next reservation and can’t wait to go back!"
"This place has a unique New Orleans-esqe menu -- it's not just Southern staples, it has influences from island and French cuisines, and elevates them. It's a small-ish menu that changes periodically and has at least one vegan option on every section. On my first visit, I started with the callaloo. It was more of a soup than your typical Caribbean version, but the flavors were on point, and I was all for it. I might have actually preferred it that way, but don't tell my grandma I said that. For my main dish, the swordfish was super moist and buttery, with a tomato sauce that had some good heat but didn't overpower the dish. Dessert was bread pudding, which was a solid end to the meal -- I'd rate it 8/10. Overall, portions were very satisfying but allowed enough room to have multiple courses. I was not drinking on that particular night, but cocktails/wines looked good, and they also have a full bar. It's a cool vibe that can fit a classy or causal occasion. Service was super fast. All-around, it was an A+ experience, I'll gladly come back!"
"Very delicious! We found it on a whim during the week visiting. The oysters were yummy, I loved the carrots and we were obsessed with the cornbread. Lamb was great too!"
"Really good food!! The sides and desserts were amazing. The turnip root vegetarian plate was super flavorful too..it’s hard to find good, innovative vegetarian options but this place had it. We ordered some apps from the raw bar too which was the only thing I found to be underwhelming for $50 bucks, but everything else was great. We loved the open kitchen too."
