"The food was superb. This place is great for date night with live music and great art work. We had the muscles and tempura cauliflower for an appetizer and the Dublin Lawyer for dinner. This was the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. There were great vegetarian options, full service bar and reservations were no hassle. If you’re looking for great experience, I highly recommend."
"To say I was excited to check out Nighttown would be a complete understatement. However, it was underwhelming in pretty much every way possible. I’ll start with the only good part. Their French Onion soup was delicious and the best I have found in Cleveland. Other than that, it was not a good experience. We went on a Saturday evening around 8pm looking forward to live music and there was not any music. The main area where we were seated was incredibly loud the entire time. The thing that was the most upsetting was that we ordered the Brie with focaccia appetizer. The focaccia came out completely charred from being grilled and also the Brie wheel had big grill marks too. (Refer to photo and peep the bread!) We asked for some more focaccia that was not charred to the point of being inedible so we could try to enjoy our appetizer. Our server brought out just plain bread and then when we got our bill had charged us $3 for said extra bread. The shrimp scampi came out cold. The whole meal felt rushed, our server was not attentive, the food (except the French onion soup) was lackluster and the ambiance was loud and unappealing. We will not be returning."
"I heard a lot of hype about Nighttown so I decided to take my family members when they were in town from New Zealand. The atmosphere was great but we were seated At a table that didn't really fit the booth it was placed at and was way too big for our group of five. The server was weirdly aggressive. Technically, the service was good but definitely wasn't very welcoming. After receiving our entrees, the front of house manager approached our table to ask how our food was then rudely accosted my step mother for not answering right away (her mouth was full of food). The food was delicious. We had appetizers entrees and dessert; it was all great. When we went to pay, they had added a 20% gratuity, which seemed pretty tacky for a 5 top. Overall, despite the great food and beautiful space, it was an embarrassing experience because the service was so rude. I've eaten at nice restaurants all over the world and have never been treated that way at an establishment of that supposed caliber. I doubt I'll go back and definitely will not bring out of town guests there again."
"Great dinner with my husband, my son, and his girlfriend. All of the food was fantastic except for my filet, which I ordered medium but was served med-well to well. We were seated in a curved window booth. The table was a small square and didn’t fit the space. It made eating awkward. Our server, Angel, was fantastic. We each ordered a different dessert and Angel brought us the fifth dessert on the house so we could try them all. The French onion soup is delicious. Husband had the ribs. Son had a burger. GF had chicken. Husband and I keep an apartment next door at the Ascent. It’s nice to have a quality dinner restaurant so close. We will definitely be back when we are in Cleveland."
"We had a lovely night at Nighttown to celebrate their re-opening. This was my first time at the restaurant and genuinely enjoyed the drinks, food, staff, and atmosphere. They were out of few options, but to be expected for a late dinner on their second night open. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying the live music and trying other dishes!"
