"Requested appointment postpartum, gave appt for 4 months later even though you should have a check 6 weeks post LSCS. Requested IUD placement at same setting but was refused. The doctor came and sat in the room for hardly 5 mins, asked 3 questions and left saying please schedule follow up for IUD. Got appt next month and went for procedure. Consent was taken by MA. Doctor came into room in stupid Dalmatian Halloween costume, placed IUd and left, giving no explanations of the procedure, no pros and cons, not acknowledging when I complained of pain, saying you should have taken Motrin before you came. I was bewildered by her callous attitude. Now need to be seen post IUD placement due to complications and she doesn’t even have courtesy to squeeze me in her schedule to check if she did the procedure correctly. I will not hesitate to sue her for her callousness and lack of professionalism towards her patients."

"I had an incredibly infuriating experience with Dr. Cossler about 1.5 years ago. I had recently been diagnosed with PCOS and was looking for a new OBGYN to discuss treatment options, i.e. birth control options, for missed periods - I had gone 9 months without a period. I was scheduled to have an appointment with Dr. Cossler but was exposed to covid-19 so I called and asked to change the appointment to a phone call so we could discuss treatment in the meantime before I came in person. I am so glad I did. During our phone appointment, Dr. Cossler invalidated my diagnosis, stated that losing weight would take care of my PCOS symptoms, and only told me about one option for birth control methods. I was extremely hurt that she was making assumptions about my weight being a factor having not even met me or spoken to me for more than 2 minutes. I had told her that I had gained almost 90 pounds over the course of a year since I had stopped having periods - to me, a clear sign that the weight gain was a symptom of my condition. She proceeded to tell me I should lose weight. I also had wanted to talk about all options of birth control, not only pills, but also IUDs, implants, etc. to see what would be right for my condition. She pretty much assumed I wanted birth control pills and left it at that. I said, I was hoping you would tell me about an IUD. And she said, oh! okay. And there came more information. I felt that Dr. Cossler wrote off my symptoms and my experience and she was extremely hurtful in the way she told me to lose weight, both the fact that she said it without ever having seen me, but also the way she said it. I cried as soon as we hung up and I found a new OBGYN because there was no way I could step foot into her office and have her say something like that to my face. I do understand that weight loss can be helpful in treating things but what would she have suggested if I had been a thin patient? That’s what I was looking for. Especially considering my weight gain was caused by the condition I was looking to treat. I strongly discourage anyone looking for a compassionate medical professional from scheduling with Dr. Cossler. She has no bedside manner and she will make you question yourself when you need to be able to trust yourself and your doctor. This had such a strong impact on me that I am still thinking about it now and writing this review."
