"The staff and nurses are absolutely wonderful and are helpful in times of worry. However, I will say the doctors can be more attentive and aware. I went in to get an iud changed and the doctor put one in before taking the other out...then suggested I had to go somewhere else to have an abdominal xray to find the first iud, when she had an internal ultrasound machine right next to me. It was a whole anxiety filled mess that could have been avoided had she just read my chart. And had she not asked what I was doing for birth control prior to the insertion of the new iud, I would have left the facility with TWO iud's, unknowingly for who knows how long..."
"Due to insurance change, I had to find a new Gyn a few years back. The staff and Doctors are all really nice, but being a woman way past my child bearing years, I felt lost in the shuffle. With my previous Doctor, he always would say, " No news, is good news," or I would get a call immediately. Here, I NEVER received a call or letter or a reminder for my yearly exam. I once again am having a change in insurance and so happy I can return to my former Doctor."
"Dr. Merkel showed such a depth of understanding and compassion for our birth mother. Even though we had arrived 2 hours late for an appointment, he willingly fit her in with no shaming or finger pointing. I am pleased that he is so young and will be able to provide top notch medical care for many years to come!!!!!!!!!!!!"
