"I was referred to her by my Dr. (Ambrose Puttman) because he was retiring. I initially was very unhappy because the other Doctor I saw (Dr. Weiwei) had already retired and honestly I was considering switching practices to find someone else. I prefer older male practitioners because I feel they are more experienced and compassionate. From my personal experience, female gynecologists always seem to have this cavalier type of attitude. Not sure if it's because they just feel with being a woman and a gynecologist that they don't actually have to listen and hear the issues. Whatever the case, I never had good experiences with female gynecologists. But I had to have my Mirena "surgically" removed (couldnt find the strings) and decided to give her a shot. (Especially since Dr. Puttman spoke highly of her.) She was amazing during the entire process. From the appointments to the actual procedure (which she did herself). And post this procedure her level of care has still been consistent. I just absolutely love this woman. She listens, is incredibly knowledgeable, explains every thing in a way that's understandable, she's compassionate, funny, very relatable and isn't offended by tough questions or concerns. That's important to me. And I've actually come to appreciate the fact that she's younger and in a similar "stage of life" as I am. I am excited to see her grow in her practice and continually wish the best for her. So I will treasure this gem while I have her."

"I had a visit with Dr McCarthy about bleeding issues I've been having for a couple years now. She was very polite. She did a pap took samples from a biopsy which was my FIRST time getting one of those... She gave me my results and kept trying to push birth control pills on me and I repeatedly declined. Finally she wanted me to get a IUD and I declined that as well. From the very beginning I expressed to her how birth control messed up my hormones and I just wanted a hysterectomy. She said we had to take hormones to show insurance we tried everything before they approved the procedure. I declined and said I wanted to go straight for the hysterectomy she said she would have her nurse call me after checking my insurance and I haven't heard from her since."
