Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton West - Brookville, an IHG Hotel

"The room was clean. We had to change rooms the second night because our heat went out. The service desk could use some improvement on friendliness."

"It's easy to get to off of 70, but they didn't note on their website or the app that their pool is closed for maintenance for a week. I chose this hotel so the kids could swim. They also have no true two room suites. I thought I had booked a room with a separate bedroom, then they charged me to upgrade to another after acting like they were doing me a favor. The next room also doesn't have a separate room, which we look for for the baby. I wish I had just been refunded. If I had known these things, I would have not booked this hotel."

"I didn't feel the young woman at the front desk cared much about her job. She was rather apathetic. But she got me checked in alright, and seemed to allow my pet rat in his small cage because it was less bother than saying no. I was able to maneuver and park my 20-foot moving truck with trailer in the parking area, which I did appreciate. My room was fine, and breakfast was as expected at a Holiday Inn Express. I always enjoy the cheese omelette. Nothing much stood out about this location; it was just a place to lay my head."

"Stayed there Tuesday night October 24th 2023 and everything was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. Room and bathroom were clean. Did have a baby from one of the other rooms start crying around 1 am but was not a problem, it lasted only a few minutes and I went back to sleep. Did not eat the breakfast but there was plenty of food, just grabbed a coffee and continued my journey."

"This was the worst stay I have ever had at a Holiday Inn Express. Upon checking in and entering the room there was a strong musty, mildew scent. The bathroom was disgusting - The toilet was clogged and had feces and toilet paper floating around in it. My husband tried to plunge it but it didn't work so we told the front desk and they fixed it. The shower curtain visibly had mildew and mold on it, there was a ring in the bathtub and toilet that showed they had not been properly cleaned in a long time. There was black mold in the sink and around the drain in the shower and also someone's hair and more mold on the floor. There were stains on the carpet of some weird red liquid and our refrigerator did not work at all and leaked all over the place so we had to clean water up multiple times. Not only was our room disgusting, but everyone that was there with our party had something to say from sheets not being on beds to a fan drying off the mattress upon entry. Everyone I talked to complained about the cleanliness of the entire room. I understand it is a small town but that does not excuse the state this place was in for a Holiday Inn and a $275 stay. I have stayed in MUCH better places for less. Breakfast was the only decent part."
