"Overall very poor experience with Mike Merhar. I was using him for auto and home insurance and wanted to buy a sports car. I reached out to him in advance to get a monthly insurance price on the specific car I was interested in. He told me he could get me coverage on the car. I go ahead and buy the car and he says Nationwide cannot cover it because it is a 'limited production exotic sports vehicle' and that he could only get me coverage through Progressive for more than double what I was already paying and was quoted. I had to drop my auto coverage with him. Due to dropping the auto coverage he jacked up my homeowners coverage ~$300 per year. I had to email him twice and call to get a copy of my declarations page to drop my homeowners coverage with him. In my last correspondence with him he did not even have my first name correct in the email. In my opinion, this is a very poorly run operation and once you sign up for coverage with these guys they look at your business like an annuity and do not work to try and help you or save you money. Their business model is 'turn and burn' on to the next customer to try and make more commission. You work hard for your money, spend it with someone who genuinely cares about their customers. Save yourself the headache and work with someone else. I added a photo of evidence in response to Mike's reply."
