"The nurses are discriminatory toward black and/or young women. They will play with your intelligence, look at you like you’re crazy when you ask questions, and belittle your knowledge as if you know nothing."
"I would highly recommend the For Women team of physicians! I had two incredibly difficult pregnancies and they handled each appointment with compassion and most importantly they LISTENED to me. Everything they recommended was fully explained to me and based on research and expertise. I thought I wouldn't like that they make you see different doctors each appt. during pregnancy but it really makes it so that you know all of them well. I am so thankful to have two healthy children and I will continue to go there for my future health needs."
"I (posting under an alias, Lauren Williams is not my name) recently saw one of their new providers, Dr Heather Barnhorst. She lacked a good bedside manner. I don't really care about that, as long as the care is good. I was newly pregnant and am considered Advanced Maternal Age. I had my labs drawn at 4 weeks to get a baseline HCG (pregnancy hormone) and to check my progesterone. My progesterone was only 10. Dr Barnhorst did not give me progesterone supplements. I am not sure if that is why I miscarried at 6 weeks, but it certainly should have been a precaution that was taken. I will not return to this practice."
"I’ve been coming here for 9 years and had a pretty decent experience with my own doctor, but I’ve had some different experiences with their front desk staff (I’m unsure if they’re nurses so I apologize if they are). I called to make my annual appointment this morning and the woman that answered was horribly unpleasant and off putting. I attempted to check in and ask if she was alright, to which she then told me was rude. It was very weird and uncomfortable."
"I've been going to For Women Inc for at least 14 years, now. They did all my prenatal care, and Dr. Horn was there to give birth to my two boys, although Dr. Clark is the primary doctor I see. All the doctors work together and cover for each other, so there is always someone available to help you. They also took care of me before I ever thought about getting pregnant, and they have taken care of me ever since - my kids are now 13 and 10. I recommend them highly."
