"I think he has a personal problem with me he refused to fill 2 medication of mine and harts pharmacy told me that if he didn't taper me off I could have really bad grandma seizure he cut my medication so I had to stop taking chantix and I was down to 3 cigarettes a day and now im back to smoking 3 packs . I feel very unsafe in his hands as a doctor he should read my chart first"

I had a personal problem that necessitated the end of my relationship with him (strictly MY issue; not his.) I have missed him ever since. My husband and friend are both very pleased with his care."
"In 2010 my 85 year old mother was incorrectly diagnosed at Good Sam with COPD. She went to Western Hills Nursing Home. After being there about 2 weeks she was near death as she was struggling to breath. My sister was calling 911 when Dr. Bort told her 'if you take her out of here I won't take her as a patient (at the nursing home) again. 911 came and we took her to Christ where they found a failed mitral valve, operated and she lived another very healthy and active 5 years. Had we followed Dr. Bort's orders she'd have died in a matter of days. To be clear, Dr. Bort did NOT make the initial wrong diagnosis at Good Sam. He also did not allow for the possibility of such a mistake, thereby putting my mother's life at risk."
