"Don't do it. Don't go. Skip this place. Yes, this is in the VA network, but don't go. Besides the front desk talking about another patient while I was standing there, I didn't have issues there. However, when CVS would give you a shot and be done, this required a full-on Dr's appointment. By a student. The typical etiquette is to ask the patient if it's OK to have the student lead. Not just send him in with no heads up, which is what happened. Asked medication history, family history, and other irrelevant questions for a tetanus shot. Had to go thru most questions when the Dr came in. Was asked if I had the stuff to clean and cover the puncture on my foot, which I said yes and had already told them it had been cleaned twice. They cleaned it there yet again. Then, even tho I was asked what pharmacy I would send medications to, I was handed a pink canvas mesh like bag with labels most likely printed on a cricket machine and not following medication labels at all. Charged 25$ for them and I was so confused at what all was happening for a tetanus shot that it didn't even connect that they should have sent the medications to Rite Aid and not in a suspicious pink bag. Pills in the trash, and I'm crossing my fingers I got an actual tetanus shot. If an investigation is run and discovered that this place is operating without licenses, I won't be surprised at all. Suspicious and needs investigated. Do not go here. Update: I learned today the antibiotics they gave me are prescribed for Anthrax infections and are unsafe to use due to their side effects. Glad I never took them."
"I was denied a refill on my prescription drops for my scalp psoriasis because apparently it has been too long since they’ve charged my insurance for a visit. I was told I had to be seen before I could get DROPS for my scalp. It’s not like I’m on blood thinners or something and they need to monitor me, it’s a a simple skin condition and I need my drops refilled. I told them I have a new job and I can’t take off work for an appointment so I would have to go without my prescription. With zero remorse at all she goes “Oh well let us now if a day opens up that works for you”. Easy to see that they flat out do not care about their patients, go anywhere else."
"Update (May 2021): My review below still stands and I wish I could give negative stars. After receiving a partial refund from them and my insurance company, they're are now billing me $100, when I shouldn't have had to pay anything at all in the first place! AVOID THIS PLACE! My only experience here was for a covid test, but that was enough to convince me never to go back. First, the front office staff are very odd. I walked in and was the only one in the lobby, but two of the front office staff were having a conversation and didn't seem to be in a hurry to end said conversation as I stood there waiting for them to acknowledge me. At that point, one just kind of looked at me like she was questioning why I was even standing there. I got the same treatment after I finished filling out my patient forms and went to take them back up to here. Very unwelcoming and unfriendly. Then, they charged me over $200 for a test that is supposed to be free, along with a $12.50 charge just to use a credit card. I have insurance, but was required to pay this amount before being seen. After being seen and tested (no issues with the doctor or nurse...both were nice and pleasant to deal with) I was given a mesh bag of medication containing multiple meds (with instructions handwritten in pen or sharpie), a pen and a magnet like some sort of goodie bag (weird). Upon leaving I did not receive any sort of itemized print out, only a credit card slip. Afterward, I called my insurance company and they assured me that I should not have had to pay, especially since this was for a covid test and this urgent care is in network with them. Come to find out, Honeycreek submitted only partial charges to my insurance, and are trying to say that $100 was for the test itself and was "self-pay". I went to file a claim with my insurance to get the money I paid back and they required an itemized bill and procedure/diagnosis codes. It took two phone calls to Honeycreek to get them to send me what I needed, and even then, I received a handwritten itemization. Seriously?? They also did not provide me with the correct code for my diagnosis. This has been going on for months now, as I have been in contact with multiple people at my insurance company who have not been able to get in touch with, or get any sort of returned phone call from this place. Do not go here for a covid test unless you want to be charged when you shouldn't be and play heck trying to get anywhere with them."
"Unbelievably terrible experience here. They refused to bill my insurance simply because I’m from out of state, but I was in need of urgent care. The front desk was very unhelpful and rude - I should have just stopped there. They were too busy trying to order their lunch instead of helping me. They also were not wearing face masks, despite being a medical facility in the middle of a pandemic. Then, they left two unsupervised medical students to “practice” taking out my stitches which caused unbelievable pain and bleeding. I wasn’t seen by the doctor until something had gone wrong during the procedure. Then as I was leaving, the doctor made a humiliating, unnecessary, and inappropriate comment about my appearance. If I could give this place negative stars I would. Removing 9 stitches was a two hour humiliating ordeal. I left here in tears. Please don’t send your family here, especially young women."
"After my primary physician was unable to provide me a steroid injection for an increasingly severe poison ivy rash on my face, due to a shortage at their office, I was seen here just past closing time. My husband was calling around to help me find some help and they agreed to stay open until I arrived. I was seen quickly and given the injection and oral medication. I am so appreciative of their willingness to help me out when they could have simply said that they were going to be closed by the time I got there. Thank you all for your kindness!"
