"This is a terrible hospital. I take my clients here and with 1 client the ER docror was so rude and condescending. All the nurses just stood around gossping and talking, laughing loudly. One women can in and she was giving birth unexpectedly. After labor and delivery came and got her. , the nurses were all yelling and laughing, one male nurse yelled " i said grab a freaking towel her vagina is going fall out" . The doctor was rushing and condescending! My second client was even worse!! My client was latharic, not very responsive, confused, she had fallenthe night before and had vaginal bleeding ( mind you she is 61 and had a hysterectomy) they put a suction catheter on her. Well when she woke up from a nap she said she peed. The catheter was not connected right and she was soaked. I pushed the nursing button. After 15 mins i went and said she needs change she is laying ina bed of urine. Nurses response..... ok we will get to her and walked out. We waited another hour for them to get to her. They didnt wipe her down or anything just rolled her and put a sheet down. This place is disgusting, they employees are so unprofessional. Doctors are rude!! We were there from 10 am till 6pm. Ending result UTI!! This why my husband and I and our children go to Cleveland Clinic!!"

"I went to SJWS emergency room on Wednesday 12/6. I was treated well in the ER and for being very busy things moved quickly snd efficiently with no lack in care. Once I was admitted that ended. I was admitted to the 3rd floor scheduled for emergency surgery Thursday morning at 7am. I have very consistent blood pressure usually between 100 and 102 over 74. Given my excruciating pain it was obvious not only by my tears but my blood pressure rising to 150 and 170. The nursing staff on my floor was constantly bad during my 4 day stay. Wednesday, the charge nurse treated me like I was a druggie looking for a fix and was extremely unempathetic. I would call my nurse for pain meds and they literally made me wait an hour for her to show up and then gave me a pill that would take an additional 40 minutes to kick in. The dr write an order for blood thinners they didn’t give it to me until I had to argue with them to look at the order. I explained I was sweating at night and didn’t know why, they said it was hot in the room. When I asked the dr he said no it’s because your fighting a horrible infection and that th ex nurses needed to watch that. Lastly today I was released. I asked when I could shower with my surgery wounds. The nurse says oh you can shower today it’s fine the glue will hold. I asked her if she should check my wounds before I leave and she said no they were fine. Well I get home jump in the shower and guess what, these wounds are metal staples not glue. Idk when I have to have them removed how to care for them nothing. Long story short, the surgeon was good. But, that’s it.. staff is sloppy, they don’t care about you or your needs they are rude and unprofessional.. although this hospital is close I’ll be switching to the Clinic from now on."

"If I had the option I'd give it a zero. My daughter was sick and in excruciating pain.she had several visits to er with them sending her home telling her to just rest. That she was fine. Less than 48 hrs after her last visit she was found dead. She had been saying she felt like she was dying. They ignored it all and sent her home to die . Left a 10 year old son . I had a few encounters there with my younger daughter. Just because they could not give a simple diagnosis and send them home after charging thousands of dollars they just do not care!!! better have a strong advocate to go with you that has medical knowledge if you go there. Saw a 5 star rating on the website. What a joke. 5 stars for bad"

"No one likes to write about hospital care nor call out people who make mistakes while you are in care of what you thought would be just like the other surgeries. Been waiting for 2 days for a room at this place at the request of my surgeon. As of today, they had a room but 3 hours later chose to give it to someone else. The lack of unprofessionalism for someone who has the hand of God to make that call, citing that the OR wasn't open on the weekends. Um, no one discussed with me about having surgery? They left it up to the nurse to tell me instead of the actual DR calling me, telling me about what this particular UH Hospital said. I would either have to wait till Monday and start the process all over again of getting a room at St Johns, go down town UH or go home and pray that the infection I have doesn't kill me. Those were my options. Obviously God must work at St Johns UH to make that call, at my surgeons request, to get a room to go over treatment to figure out what happened and why, not for surgery, as I wasn't told I would be having surgery for the 3rd time. I recommend stopping in at St Johns in Westlake Ohio to find God, obviously God works in at the nurses station as SHE is making decisions with out the care of patients need first."

"Wish I could give zero stars!!!! Went last night my daughter had an accident simple fix with super glue on her finger, there are sick people sitting all over the waiting room with my 9 month old!!! I'm terrified, I ask how long the lady doesn't know? But she does! Then I watch a lady walk in who kindly says she has covid and would like to sit away from everyone or in her car, the lazy woman tells her no! That was when it was my q to leave! Now my daughter has been coughing all night and is sick from your hospital! You should be ashamed of yourself! Start separating sick people from non sick people , it's so inconsiderate!!!"
