"I have been here since 9:15am this morning in the emergency room with my mom. It’s too cold in here and I have been waiting since 3:45pm to see my mom in recovery?? I’m sorry this is ridiculous it is now 5:38 ??"
"Me: *bleeding out and on the verge of dying* ER staff: *Annoyed * mam I need you to give me your health insurance in order to treat you. Me:*dies* ER staff: mam what's your date of birth"
"Pick another hospital if you can. Majority of the staff is rude and don’t want to care for patients that have a very specific illness or disability. There are some that are great, but this location isn’t very professional over all. Even if you call the customer service number the lady Nancy has an attitude."
"(Posted by Laura Jones-my grandma) My husband went to the ER because he couldn’t walk, eat or go to the bathroom. He was soo weak. Dr Singer told us there was nothing they could do and was sending him home. Approximately 4 hours later my husband started yelling he was leaving. The nurse said wait she was getting the doctor. The dr than comes in and blurts out that he was a very sick man, he was in liver failure, kidney failure and had an aggressive cancer in his stomach, by his shoulder and one other place. We were in shock. He was a terrible doctor and had no empathy at all. The oncologist said he couldn’t know that until he did a biopsy. No cancer near his shoulder. My son in law went to the ER and the nurses were talking about the patients in front of everybody. I will never go back there. I complained to the hospital and of course that same ER doctor is still there. Elyria Memorial was so much better. The doctors in the hospital not the ER were very nice. They made some serious mistakes. Please do not go to their ER. My husband died. My heart is broken over how he was treated."
"Here is my story. This begins in August of 2021.First I went in not knowing I had a ruptured appendix. I barely walk I through the doors and am told to just sit and wait. Visibly in pain and very sick. I have a CT scan done and it is determined that I need emergency surgery. Well there was no emergency surgeon on duty that day. So they admit me and then I wait 2 days to even see a doctor. Instead of removing the appendix, then putting in a drain tube, which is standard operating procedure. They just put the drain in. Then I am forced to have a PICC line put in, while they're trying to find me a nursing home, because and I quote, people with my past can't be trusted to go home with a PICC line. Mind you I had been clean and sober for 13 months by then. Well I'm sent home after fighting with my doctors for almost a week on what should be done. So let's jump ahead, it is now the end of October and my drain tube is coming out. But we have no surgery scheduled yet. We'll the New Year comes and passes and still no surgery. Come February we have everything set up ready to go, and I get a phone call saying that my surgery had to be canceled due to covid reasons. Then canceled again because I didn't have insurance and couldn't afford it. Well after 8 months of a living hell dealing with this place, I finally switched to the Cleveland Clinic. And in less than 2 weeks my appendix was out and I am finally on the menu. All this doesn't include the fact that at one point I soiled my bed and it took nurses 2 days to finally clean it. Nurses there are only allowed 9 patients by law. On my floor nurses were handling 10 to 12 patients. You're not a patient here, just a number for them to make money off of. I will never return to this place, not will I ever recommend this place."
