513 Tacos

"Along the same lines as Chipotle and Hot Head. But have different options than both of the bigger restaurants. Which is why we wanted to stop in and we like local restaurants compared to the bigger companies. Well... we should have kept going. Food: Nothing special. Food has no flavor and is microwaved, or severely overcooked. Steak was almost jerky, and the chicken wasn't much better. Queso had no flavor either. Service: Bunch of kids ordering the guy in the back around. Too much playing. Kinda rude too. Atmosphere: Way too dark. A lot of room for more tables, even more if they get rid of the tiny stage. Are they a bar, or a taco spot? Overall: May give them another chance in a few months (if they last that long) just so they can work the bugs out and get some more traffic through the restaurant."

"The new setup is cool, ordering is easy and the 2 young guys on duty were very polite, friendly, and professional. The new homemade soft corn tortillas are a winner! Taco fillings including the Birria also very good. The chips and queso kind of a bummer. Very small cup of queso, although tasty, was disappointing. And the bag of chips we got literally had 14 chips in it. Paying over 5 bucks for that when other Mexican places have unlimited free chips and salsa didn’t seem like a very good deal. My suggestion, more chips for free and sell a bigger cup of queso. And WISH they would get the bar thing figured out. It literally took 4 people to figure out how to sell me a bottle of beer. Also hope they’ll finally get some stuff on the walls. It looks like they are either just now moving in, or getting ready to move out."

"I was always a frequent flyer at Fuego's. Now that it is 513 tacos - they have great new menu options as well as the classics. They have perfected their homemade carnitas & fresh tortillas! Very delicious and I always get great service."

"Do yourself a favor and don’t get the 3 tacos. I’ve been to 20 or so different taco spots in the tri-state area and I have never seen such a small amount of ingredients inside of a taco shell! So $12 for 3 tacos that are literally 2 bites each is pretty bunk. Most taco places will give you 1 taco that was bigger than all 3 of these combined. You know when you go to Taco Bell and you get your taco, then you open it up to put on the sauce and you see a disappointing little line of meat and you think, “wth is this supposed to do for my hunger?”? Yea it was literally like that. I normally wouldn’t review a place after just one visit but honestly I would never go back here for tacos at least. BUT the tortilla itself was top notch, probably freshly made if I had to guess so it has potential. Also the chips were very good, salsa was also very good. The verde had good mild flavor and the picante had good heat but not obnoxious. That’s the only reason I didn’t give it a 1. Also they had 3 big TVs that had different things, a bar, and a little area for karaoke! The Al pastor itself was pretty good, no pineapple, but still pretty good, it would of been nice if it was more than 6 little cubes in an empty tortilla shell is all! As a taco aficionado this was a massive let down."
