"I can't believe that was my first time there. I always go to skyline, but I was impressed I won't say who's better. I will just say they're different, & I'm just glad 2 have a second option"
"You can't dine I only drive thru but the food is always hot and fresh!"
"Well.. never again will I ever go back to Gold star. This is the 4th order in a row that has been just awful. We have tried all the locations in Hamilton, Route 4, Erie, now the Main street one (this time we tried the drive thru). I would show a picture of the chili cheese fries but it was too disgusting. First the guy at the window talked way too fast. We had to ask him to slow down. He is definitely not a people person.. wouldn't even look at us while we paid at window. Wow. Got home only for the 4th disappointment in a row. I got chili cheese fries. I mean..how hard is it to make these. I opened my container and it looked like pig slop. The fries were raw!! Really!! Pathetic. Next I have no idea what was on top of that but it looked like something you would feed to a pig. All on the bottom was about 1/2 inch of oil. I almost vomited. I called my friend and he had the same experience. His chili dogs were not good and his chili cheese fries were also raw. Kind of like they just threw everything together. These employees need more training. He ate a bite and like me threw it away. What a waste of money. The bill was over $20.00. There is NO absolutely NO excuse for this!!! Never again. I'll eat at Skyline from now on. Gold star chili used to be so good but it has really gone downhill. I don't know if it's bad employee training or bad management but it's just sad. Four times in a row from different Gold Star's..I don't know what else to say. I'm so disgusted. Please do not send me some scripted generic response to call this or that number..I won't. You read this you can pass it on. If I could give -10 stars I would. It was that bad. All four fricken times!! Sad..sad..sad.."
"Honestly if I could I'd give them a zero star review. Trying to order at the speaker was difficult the employee repeated back something wrong for everything I ordered, finally got the food ordered I ordered a chocolate shake on this order which had a ton of chocolate it tasted like straight up syrup, I asked for it to be fixed but was told that the hand blended shakes made from real ice cream just come like that in a cup and all they do is blend them. Them I was told if I had a problem not to come back. I don't know guys what do think of the shake."
"I've always favored Gold Star over Skyline in every product and I expected that nothing had changed over the years as I hadn't been in a very long time. The atmosphere was rather dated, and the tables are very small. But I went with my dad just like we used to do when I was a kid and it was perfect for that. He got chili spaghetti and a chili cheese coney, and I got the chili mac and cheese. The waiter was really nice and laid back. Normally when I get my food, I ask for plastic cutlery because the silverware is dirty, but this wasn't the case; everything was clean and free of water spots. I began eating and realized how much I loved Gold Star until I crunched down on something hard. I spit it out and find something on the napkin. I'm not sure what it was. I was able to split it in half, so it wasn't bone. Maybe a hard gristle? I continued to eat my food despite my findings. My dad was very satisfied with his food. I think I was just unlucky, but I couldn't possibly give a better rating. If it weren't for that, I'd give it 5 stars."
