"We were traveling from Michigan to Indiana and searched for a random restaurant along our route. I wasn’t disappointed with the food — it tasted really good. I ordered sizzling pork belly and spicy kimchi soup. It was, in my opinion, more like a fusion of Korean and American. It was delicious regardless."

"Update: After eating here many times I still think the food and service are wonderful. My only complaint is that the DolSot pot is never hot enough. It should be sizzling and hold its heat. Everything else is so good I will continue to return. Oh and the Kimchi is the best. Update: We have returned several times. The food is great. The service is great. There are always customers but we have only waited for a table once. Our first experience at Ryu's was great. We each got the Banchan side. The salad dressing was great as was the kimchi. The dumpling was ok. We also had the Dol Sot Bibimbop with spicy beef. It was full of veggies, the sauce brought out all the flavors. I added kimchi to mine for added spice."

"Fun little atmosphere, friendly staff! A little pricey for the portions but very fresh! The pork belly was by far my favorite, crispy with great flavor and a great stir fry mix. The Korean Chicken wins second place, just sad to see such a small portion."

"We visited here after a few years and were impressed with the changes they have made to the menu. The menus are more authentic now (compared to fusion-style, the reason we did'nt revisit for a while) and everything was so good! We tried Dolsot Bibimbop, spicy pork, dumpling, and beef radish soup. All delicious! It was a busy dinner time on a Friday evening, and with only 1 server the service was rather slow at times, but they were very friendly and nice. Highly recommend."

"Quaint place. Clean. If you would rather have fried rice and steamed rice, forget it. If you would like to add extra protein to your dish after you’ve received it, forget it. You can get around that by ordering it when you initially put the order in. I’m not knocking this they can do as they please. The staff was friendly, the prices were very reasonable. I would definitely go back again."
