"I took my 1999 convertible Camaro Z28 to this shop which is owned by A.J. Hanna for a new top. I took my car in September,2015. To this date January 21, 2022 my car has not been returned. He has talken everything under the hood (engine, transmission, etc) and the entire interior if the car (seats, console, radio speakers, radio. A.J. Hanna essentially stole my car and has not returned the $6,500 I paid him for other things he said needed to be done to the car. A.J. Hanna is a scam.!We will meet in Small Claims Court. "Ok so with everything going on in the world car problems is the last thing anyone wants to deal with right now, with that being said I was in a car wreck and called a few places to get a quote on my car hood and bumper. Well everywhere else is quoting me prices in the 3000 dollars range or higher, I have florida basic insurance so I'm paying out of pocket for all of my damages. I called the phone number listed and talk to a gentleman by the name of AJ who tells my husband he is the owner of this company. My husband and I drive over to the shop and AJ quotes us at 1000 dollars to fix my hood the bumper and painting it back to its original color. Me and my husband says to each other that's great, better than what other places were quoting us for!! All of this happens on 10/22/2020... We bring the car to AJ on Friday 10/23/2020 and he asked for an upfront payment of 500 dollars to get started, now pause in all of my years of living this is the first time I have ever had to pay for a job that wasn't even completed let alone started, but I was giving him the benefit of the doubt... I asked him how long will the process take he said by Saturday 10/24/2020 my car should be finished so due to me working in another state I need transportation. Thinking I was only going to have the car rental for a day I got the rental. Saturday comes I call and call and call no answer when I finally get a hold to someone answering the phone Aj tells me that the hood is being shipped to him and he will have the car completed by Monday 10/26/2020. Monday come I call and call no answer Tuesday come I call no answer tried calling from different numbers no answer. Wednesday come and I drive to his shop and he isn't there so the person working on another car calls his phone and he answers (I found that odd, poor customer service) so I talk to him on the phone and he says there's been delays in shipping but hopefully by Friday everything will be done. I asked Aj to communicate with me, give me a courtesy call and let me know what is going on. He said it get busy at work and I stated that I understand that but with any business you should make time to talk to your customers great communication can go a really long way ie customers bragging about your business to others. So Friday come and again no phone call Saturday 10/31/20 comes around and no call again... Side bar I am paying for my car rental out of pocket day by day it is now a week having the rental car when I was only supposed to have it for 2 days. Finally get Aj on the phone Monday 11/2/20, he said the part came in and he was getting ready to paint it and put it on. So now I'm out of funds because I paid 190.33 a day to keep the rental and Aj tells me well I have to be honest I am the "little guy of the company" whatever that mean. This is where it get complicated he starts telling me about money he had to burrow from the owner to get the paint for my car, now I may not know alot about fixing cars but I do have a spirit of discernment and my spirit was telling that he was trying to pull a fast one. So I got my car back new hood unpainted and I will take my car, my money and my business to a much more professional auto body shop to complete the paint job. I really don't like when people prey on folks intelligence or try and pull a fast one but I am genuinely upset about this and I believe others need to know what they are going into when dealing business with this repair shop. Oh and btw when I returned my car rental I paid a total of 777.42 so yea I was not about to spend another red cent for the car! Well I hope this helps someone but my grandma said it best years ago "You get what you pay for" cheap routes are not always the best route..."
