Publix Pharmacy at University Square

"This pharmacy is terrible at communicating. "Sure we can get that ready for you" apparently doesn't mean today."

"I love Publix but this pharmacy is the worst pharmacy I have ever spoken with. I am switching to a different one. Whomever the pharmacist was on Saturday Nov 11th in the eve is rude and uncaring. I just needed my RX for stomach meds and cannot go without them after having two abdominal surgeries. I am in jax at my second home and was desperate with one left after having requested it a week ago. Told me to take over the counter until my Dr called it in. I am in pain now. The OTC does not work. That is why I take what I take. Shame on them. May switch with my Cadillac insurance to another drug store. I have used Publix RX and groc forever, have family who has and does work for Publix. Not the way you treat people. Shame. -retired ARNP. Anastasia island is the best. Will give San Marco a try. But will no longer step foot in that store. Not order instacart from there."

"This Publix Pharmacy is going downhill since switching pharmacy managers! It’s staffed with a much younger generation who don’t seem very concerned about making sure people have their prescriptions! I’m on certain medications that I need every month & have been on for years & because I go here as a regular, you would think my Medication would always be in stock when it’s time to be refilled! I don’t care for Brandon at all! I feel like he’s very judgmental about certain medications because it seems like I’ve gotten the run around about filling one of my medications that’s a controlled numerous times! Some people are on these medications for serious reasons whether they “look like they need it or not”. My doctor makes that decision as to what I need, sends my script in & my pharmacist should make sure I have it instead of making me feel uncomfortable EVERYTIME it’s time to refilled again!"

"The staff at this pharmacy is so incompetent. They told me my prescriptions would be ready in an hour, my husband drove up, and they were closed for lunch. Thanks for telling me when I called earlier. Then only 1 prescription was ready. They said the other won’t be filled until tomorrow. I asked the tech. on the phone if both were in stock before sending my husband up. She said yes. It wouldn’t be so bad if this wasn’t the 5th or 6th time they’ve done this to me. Good grief!!! That’s why I asked if both were in stock. I really needed the one they didn’t have. And another thing…don’t they have lunch shifts? This is a store that’s open 7 days a week. Why do they shut the entire pharmacy down for lunch? I wish this wasn’t the pharmacy that my insurance company uses."

"Often the prescription is not ready when I arrive. Today, the prescription was called in 10:00 am. When I arrived at 3:15 I was told it would be at least another 45 minutes until the prescription would be ready It is now 3:45, 30 minutes in and I thought I would make good use of my time, since it is not quite as important to Publix Pharmacy as it is to me, and write a lengthy review. For what it worth, I very rarely write a negative review, usually folks have to work for it. Lets see if they make it by the 45 minute mark. Nope, they missed it, the final time was 55 minutes."
