"I am a building contractor in Venice Fl and have sent clients to purchase fans at Dan’s for over 25 years. We recently picked up and installed 3 ceiling fans in one of our clients homes. Upon unpacking one of the fans we discovered the small globe was broken. I returned the broken globe to the Venice store to ge it replaced. The sales person was very rude and told me it was not possible that it was broken in the box and told me I had broken it. He took my name and number and told me he would have someone call me the next day and discuss this issue. A few days later I found out someone from the store called my client and requested payment for the new globe and the did so. I have sent tens of thousands of dollars of business to Dans Fans and it is sad to say a $30 globe and an unscrupulous salesperson has cost them any further business or recommendation from my company. "We walked into Dan's Fan City in Venice on 8/9/2021 just to look around after having been several other places and doing lots of online shopping for fans over a period of several months. We showed Jimmy a picture of our lanai fan which was an indoor fan installed outdoors by a brilliant [sarcasm] local home builder back in 2006. All five fan blades were sagging independently at varying down angles and metal housing had rust all over. They hooked us up with a stainless steel Tornado in about 10 minutes flat before we inquired about replacement fans for the other five rooms in the house. In about 20 or 30 minutes we picked out a Vogue Plus fan for the family room and four Starfire fans for the bedrooms and den. Yesterday, Tony and Cindy came in knocked out the installation in less than two hours. We could not be happier with the result. Now, we have a consistent vibe with coordinated style and colors between updated light fixtures and fans."
