"Visiting the area and needed to send some forms and mail a package. Not sure of what I needed to do I went to the window and a lady by the name of Patsy was so helpful. walked me through each step and I needed an item that I should have had, and she gave me one of her personal ones to help me so I could get my package sent. Extremely helpful!"
"We live off of Corbin Gainey Road and have had several bad experiences with our mail carrier. She is extremely lazy and last night she left a package in the uncovered front porch of a camper on our property that doesn’t even have an address. She knew it was going to rain and when I drove by this morning I saw the package. It was soaking wet and the box literally feel apart when I picked it up. She knows all deliveries are supposed to be made to the house. We have made multiple complaints and nothing is ever done about her, ugh!"
"Some very serious attitude and laziness problems here. I live in an apartment complex, was supposed to have a package delivered the excuse was the driveway was blocked/couldn’t access front porch. Again, apartment complex. Driveway wasn’t blocked, but if that’s the excuse they’re using does anyone over in shoemaker apartments get their mail/packages? Was supposed to have a second package delivered, along with the first again. 7 this morning before they ever actually went out an attempted delivery was supposedly made. I called the post office and someone named “GG” answered. I was immediately met with a rude and disrespectful tone, tried to explain to her the situation and she made more excuses for why my packages weren’t delivered. She told me I had a “rotten attitude” and hung up on me. I called back immediately asking for the post master and she hung up again. I’m sorry you evidently hate your life and your job but that’s not my problem. I didn’t make you take the job at the post office, while you’re there at the job you chose… you need to do your job. I don’t think being disrespectful and catching an attitude is part of your job description."
"Postal workers are rude. They have "lost" my packages. I was lied to about delivery. Lastly my letter carrier put missed delivery notices in my box when I am home and they never attempt delivery. This is very suspicious because this only happens with larger or "heavier" (30lbs) boxes. I feel as though they do this on purpose to make you pick it up in town 30 mins away. These notices have happened numerous times. This post office is one of the worst thing about defuniak springs."
"There is NOT any requirement for the height of the mail box listed on the USPS website. However I received a notice in my box stating that it is required to be between 41-45 inches from the road surface and to avoid disruption of service I must adjust the height of my box My box has been at the current height for 7yrs without any complaints from any of the good folks who deliver the mail. The current person assigned to this route was not closing the box so I put a note requesting that the box be closed to prevent the mail from getting wet. The driver simply doesn't want to have to sit up straight to be able to reach out of the window to do the job properly. The current Post Master is responsible for the note that I received because it has his name and a squiggly line that is supposed to be his signature. Therefore he is supporting an outright lie and the laziness of some of the workers."
