"The woman who did my nails was nice enough, but seemed unengaged and frankly hungover. She stopped a couple times to check texts on her phone, which I wouldn't mind if it was politely acknowledged with a simple "Sorry, just need to check my phone really quick". Personally, whenever I am speaking to someone and I need to check my phone, I will always apologize for needing to do so and let them know they will have my full attention in just a moment. Maybe she had some things going on in her life at the moment, so I'd be willing to overlook this if that was the case. In addition, this was not a meticulously crafted manicure. While the basics were performed (pushing back the cuticles, filing, trimming, etc), they were not done with care or precision. 2 of my nails feel very rough to the touch (I didn't notice until I got home). And the work station was messy and not well prepped. For example, the brush that was being used to remove stray polish was not being dipped in acetone. Rather she had squirted some acetone onto a very tiny piece of paper towel and then dabbed the brush in the soaked paper towel. It's not a "big deal" per se, but it does flag that the manicurist is not in the habit of preparedness and care. As for the nails themselves, I came in for "glass nails" and the results are underwhelming. It clearly wasn't done by someone who is skilled in this technique. I'd called ahead to ask if they provide this service. They said they did, so I assumed I would be paired with someone who is knowledgeable in how to create this look. But it was obvious she was inexperienced and said as much when I'd asked if she does glass nails often. It was kind of unfair to put this woman in that situation to begin with. The salon should have paired me with someone who is deeply experienced, not someone who has only done it a handful of times. Maybe they don't have someone on hand who has the depth of skill needed for this, but they should've said as much and not charged $53. The only upside was when I'd asked about color swatches, she was willing to swatch them on herself first, which added a star to this rating."

"Great little place! All employees are very friendly and do their best to be helpful. I did have to wait a little after the time of my appointment but the staff was very apologetic and I understood as my nail tech was in the middle of creating an intricate design on another client. Love the way my nails turned out! And the tech who did my pedicure was amazing as well. The only annoying thing was the pub next door who plays their music unreasonably loud"
