"I went to woodcraft for my first time, and it was a great experience the store beautifully laid out and very well stocked. The staff is courteous and knowledgeable. There's no woodcraft in Canada and that's a good thing as I would spend way too much if it were handy. When I come again it's on my list of places to go to"
"A really fabulous woodworking and power tool store. An entire supermarket of wood working equipment, hand tools and supplies... including choice woods. I stumbled onto this place while the wife shopped next door. Ended up buying some items needed for an antique clock restoration. Staff is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. Plenty of free parking with easy ground-floor access."
"I go here for all my woodworking need. This is the place with everything you'll ever need for your projects. Everything is high quality and they are always well stocked! The guys and gals are very friendly and are ready to help you find what you need. I love bringing in a project now and then to share my talents a bit. I love the conversations I have sometimes with the clerks they have plenty of good stories and some share their projects pic's on their phones with me! I'm happy that we have this great store in our reach!"
"Shopping experience tends to differ each visit. You can probably get better prices on rough lumber from local lumberyards, but I guess you are paying for the convenience not having to go to lumberyards on the west side. You can also check their website for sales; I bought some purpleheart at 70% discount a while back. Prices on products tend to be high otherwise. During the Independence Day sale I bought something that was supposed to be 10% off, but the cashier charged me full price and I didn't notice until I got home. Make sure you double check how much they are charging you when checking out. Employees are helpful in pointing out where products are, other than that I found that many of the employees aren't familiar with actual woodworking at all if you ask them about a certain tool/product in detail or just discuss woodworking in general. They offer woodworking classes on weekends. The classes are more like demonstrations and you don't really get hands-on with tools; it's mostly just the teacher milling lumber and making a piece of furniture for you with pocket holes. Would like to see longer and more hands-on courses using various joinery techniques and hand tools. The class I found most valuable was the sharpening course that teaches you how to sharpen plane irons, chisels, and other types of blades. Although this is the only brick and mortar woodworking store around Beach, I would only recommend this store if you know exactly what you need and it's on sale here."
"What a great store! Every woman should bring her man here for real bonus points on the wife card! This store is fascinating! From epoxy artist paints aptly named “unicorn spit” to plans on how to make a guitar, this store has a lot to offer the wood worker/hobbyist that is inside each of us. There are plans on wooden toys for kids, playhouses, etc. there are books on building your own furniture, blocks of acrylic with cool names like “cotton candy dreams” that can be whittled on or carved. Plan to be impressed and browse for a hour or more."
