Backwater Cat Adventure

"The boat was awesome. It seemed a little difficult to get a handle at first. But once you got a hang of it( keep the speed steady, just adjust the direction) it was so much fun. We had 1 guide on his own catamaran for three boats. We also got to spot dolphins and wild horses We plan to do it more often."

"Had an absolute blast doing the Backwater Adventure! We got to see a pod of dolphins a few different times. Our guide Ben was great! Not overbearing or strict at all. Pretty much let you do what you want with in reason. Definitely would like to make a return trip to do it again."

"We had a great time despite some rain! Our tour guide made sure everyone was comfortable with driving the boats before we took off and even took pictures of everyone throughout the trip. We were able to see several dolphins up close and some wild horses. We would love to do this again when it’s warmer! It was also nice to have a personal cooler on each boat for drinks and snacks."

"We had so much fun! The boats are very easy to drive and at speed they offer an exhilarating experience! Our guide was knowledgeable, the views along the route were captivating, and the sea life was so much fun to watch…. Dolphins so close you could reach out and touch them (but we didn’t)! We will definitely do this again and want our kids and grandkids to enjoy the experience too!"

"Had a WONDERFUL excursion and HIGHLY recommend. We had family visiting from New Mexico and decided to book the 2.5 hour trip (the 2:30 slot) and luckily the weather was perfect. We saw several dolphins along the way and when we arrive at Cumberland Island we were able to walk up to the wild horses and get a few photo ops. Also found a few nice shells as we strolled along the beach. The ocean side view of Fort Clinch, is pretty amazing. You are able to get a good picture of the whole structure. We didn’t get to stop, but if you are familiar with the movie “Pippi Longstockings”, it’s a whole different view of the house where it was filmed."
