"Gulf Kist Sod was great! Because they only had two and 1/2 stars I tried every other place first, but was very happy that they had the sod I needed when the other places didn’t. The employees were super friendly and helpful. They gave us a nice discount (about 1/2 off!) because the sod was a little old (a bit yellow), AND they said we can get the rest of the pieces we needed (determined we needed a pallet and 20 pieces, but they only had the pallet) after the weekend and that they would supply these for free! What an amazing staff. I definitely think they deserve much higher stars here. Hopefully my post will help, as right now there are only 2 reviews."

"They charge you $10 deposit per pallet when you buy grass. Then when you return the pallets they want to give you only half the deposit back. This is robbery in its simplest form. No warning about this new policy. I am a small business owner so this doesn't bode well with me. I will not be buying anymore sod from there."

"Super friendly employees and have a great selection of rock(the reason for my visit), ranging from pebbles to boulders. On our most recent visit, we purchased flat Kewanee river rock. We chose our rock and they went to weigh. Price was marked as .32/lb, we were charged .34/lb...and he called out that it weighed 94 lbs, and the weight was actually only 80lbs. So, I assume they weighed the pallet as well, without subtracting the pallet weight. So, if you decide you want to buy from them, take the pallet with you because you're paying for it!"
