"History: -End of July 2022 after being parked in Michigan for eight months, on our drive back to Florida, I realize the generator wasn't working. -Aug. 4, 2022 I got it into Holiday RV and Marine in Key Largo, but after it was there a few weeks I realized they had non qualified or non Cummings authorized mechanics working on it and did not seem to be making much progress. -Sept 12, 2022, got my 2020 Thor Freedom Elite motorhome in to get my Cummins Onan generator fixed at Chadwell and Sons. It would start but not keep running. Took a few weeks to get it in to Chadwell and Sons. When scheduling the appointment Chadwell and Sons thought they could do it in a day but then called to say they had to remove it and evaluated outside the motorhome. Unfortunately after they analyzed the generator a week later they said I needed a new back end which had a 3-year warranty from the first purchaser of the motorhome which was July 2019. So I didn't realize the generator was bad until the end of July. Then it took me 2 months to get the generator to an authorized mechanic and analyzed which was a couple months late for my warranty. I had Chadwell & Sons call Cummings to see if they would still cover it but they said you had to fix it first, so I am currently waiting for the parts to show up, which should take two or three weeks, pay over a two thousand dollars and then wait and see if Cummings will cover any part of the repair under the warranty. Chadwell and Sons are authorized for Cummings repairs and seem to know what they're doing but can't give a thorough review as I'm still waiting for parts, which due to the normal excuse of covid may take 2 to 3 weeks, installation of the part, final bill and/or if Cummins will help with any part of the warranty."

"Wow! What a great company to deal with. It's so hard to find that in Miami. I had major issues with my generator and automatic transfer switch for MONTHS! The Cummins service center in Miami Lakes charged me over $700 to come and do preventative maintenance and then all hell broke loose. The ATS stopped working. They wanted another $900 to come out and look at it, I dealt with numerous levels of management and was treated awfully. I called a bunch of "authorized dealers" from the Cummins website and couldn't get anyone to come out and help me. A friend recommend Chadwell & Sons and they went above and beyond. They came out, assessed and trouble shooted my problem/issues and didn't bill me a dime until it was completely fixed. The tech, Isidro, is super nice, communicated everything that was going on and provided me with excellent customer service. They easily spent over 10 hours on the job and only billed me for how long it actually took to fix the issue. Extremely fair and so UNCOMMON in Miami! I highly recommend the company - call them - You won't be disappointed."
