"Wow!! What a slice of paradise. Ample parking, endless wildlife, beautiful beaches nearby, and just too much beauty to put into words. This might be one of my favorite areas in all south Florida — definitely top 5 so far."
"Respect the birds, this is their home and you are just visitors. Please pick up after yourselves and try not to harass these beautiful creatures. With that said, this whole area is a converted zoo from the 1950's. You can find all kinds of indigenous and invasive (introduced) creatures like the magnificent Egyptian Geese that usually travel in pairs."
"Beautiful place....."
"This park is a hidden gem in Miami. Is so beautiful and unique to see so many been free doing their own thing. Is a great spot for photography, parking is really cheap only $2... is really worthy to bring your bike and enjoy the experience to get close to this creatures. A little tip: golden hour (afternoon right before sunset) is magical for photographers, pros and beginners. Bring water, water fountains don’t work!"
"The Peacock picnic shelter has large barbeque grill and is located in a very pretty secluded park location. There was very many birds of all kinds and a very pretty place and many peacocks. Though there are signs warning of crocodile near the pond near by, though I have not seen any there, but they could be in the water, though I do not think they are a danger. The Peacock shelter can be reserved for parties by contacting the park office, if it is not reserved it is open to the public for use. If it is reserved there will be a reserved paper posted on the shelter sign with the date and reserve party's name."
