I lived by myself and i had nobody over. They give you a place that has roaches. I asked them nicely if they cleaned the carpet during renting from them and john rudely replies. "Hello- I would like to share my personal and firsthand experience with the staff of this company and would highly highly highly recommend that they are not considered during the rental process. Now unfortunately like many others my review will sound as if I am a disgruntled tenant and sadly enough yes I am one, however, I am purely disgruntled from a place a maturity and objectivity. My wife and I decided to rent through CFRP Realty of Altamonte Springs, FL. believing that this was a company through which we would enjoy renting one of their properties, but I must it has been everything other than enjoyable. Particularly the current owner (John D.) of this company does not remain abreast or up to date with regard to the latest Fair Housing Practices and laws which created problems for us initially. In addition, the house which we were living in was pretty old (which we understood and accepted that it was an older home) however, the problems were unfathomable and clearly were not apparent until literally after the first week of living there. A massive water bug infestation which clearly pre-dated our arrival (proof was provided to the landlord the same week via photos) and yet for which we are being told that we would have to be responsible for pest control. Okay, I can understand if I am untidy and unsanitary I am the reason for the infestation, however, we just moved into the house and I am already responsible for something I didn't cause? CFRP Realty are attempting to pass along this uncorrected responsibility to the tenants. The garage itself is highly infested with what appears to be multiple nests (see photos) from which these water bugs have developed over an extended period of time pre-dating our initial move in this year in April 2020. In addition, there has been water intrusion directly underneath the carpet in both the living room and the closet of the second bedroom. There is also and definitively the presence of mold and rotting wood discoloration on one of the ceilings (which previously existed and was painted over). Also, within about a month or so time span we've had constant visits from contractors to perform patch work for issues (I.e. holes underneath kitchen and bathroom cabinets, broken pieces of crown molding, broken blinds, burned out outlets etc.) which should have been addressed long before listing the property for rent and now during the pandemic we had to have constant and often time inconvenient visits. The first time I wasn't home, I had a visit from a contractor (without any prior notification from the landlord) who I guess happened to be in the area which I found out later not from one, but three of my neighbors. Additionally, one Saturday morning (once again unannounced) I had a visit from a contractor to come a grab the broken wooden platform in the back yard which was overlooked on a work order from a month or so prior. Lastly, the owner of CFRP Realty is none other than extremely rude and unprofessional when it comes to understanding the tenant's perspective. I have never spoken to someone on a phone call and when trying to negotiate and be fair about the situation decides to intentionally be difficult and create roadblocks. Again I could write a more detailed and exhaustive review, and again yes I am a disgruntled tenant, but rightfully so I have every reason to be given the living conditions me and my family were provided with for the last 6 mos. If I had known that some of the more extreme issues existed I seriously would not have considered renting this place at all and I highly recommend prospective tenants to stay away from these people.
