"Very unfortunate, unprofessional and disappointing stay at one of their properties. Cynthia Trubee and Penny Easton who run Knot Forgotten Rentals were so disappointing. We booked a house on Cape San Blas from Dec 21-31st. There was NO water on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We could NOT flush toilets, could NOT wash hands, could NOT bath, do dishes, etc. We were forced to check out due to HEALTH & SAFETY reasons. They stated they conferred with the owner of Sur La Mer and they jointly decided they would NOT refund the UNUSED nights (6). Completely unethical, unprofessional and immoral to expect people to stay with NO WATER. $250/night "vacation". House was marginally clean, furniture VERY tired, Grill completely inoperable, kitchen poorly stocked - meager pots and pans, utensils. Do NOT Recommend this company or the property."

"We stayed at The Lunasea House in Cape San Blas July 8-14, 2019. It was absolutely wonderful! Everything worked and was very clean! The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed for our week long stay. This is my first time in Port St. Joe and I can honestly say that we will be back! The beaches were clean and beautiful! Thank you so much Knot Forgotten Vacation Rentals! My family made great memories this past week!"

"Horrible experience. Booked condo in February 2019 for our trip starting June 23rd to June 28th 2019 on HomeAway site for a property called Seabliss listed by Knot Forgotten Vacation Rentals on the beach in Cape San Blas, Florida. Everything was confirmed and even got arrival instructions this week. Then yesterday 6/19/19 out of the blue got an email from Knot Forgotten Vacation rentals saying my vacation was cancelled! They said it was not ready and evidentially had been damaged in the hurricane in Cape San Blas in 2018. I had no idea that it had been damaged and was being rebuilt. So they cancelled my one yearly vacation 3 days before my family and I were set to arrive. They said I get a full refund that will show up in 7-10 days but had no other options for me and my family on such a short notice. Which is their fault. They did not even bother to call me in person (and yes they have my number) to tell me - they sent it in an email. I called homeaway and they were no help either. I called 5 times before being transfer to the correct department. Then that department looked up the same thing I can see on their site. No available rentals! How come if you cancel your vacation you lose all your money $2,000 in my case but if the property manager lies and falsely advertises a property that is supposedly intact and ready to rent 3 days before your vacation you only get your money back? This is not right there has to be repercussions for all the expenses I’m out getting ready for the vacation ( clothes, equipment, dog shots, kennel costs) and the stress and now I am off a whole week with my family and have no plans. Plus everything I try to book is not available 3 days from now! My money is not showing back on my credit card yet! My family and I are screwed! Don’t book anything using HomeAway they only care about the property owner. And I would never book anything with Knot Forgotten vacation rentals! They lie and don’t care about anyone’s vacation! This site makes you put at least one star but they deserve negative stars! Please don’t let this happen to your family vacation! I"
