"I have been really enjoying the new apartment complex I live in. Maintenance always shows up in a timely manner when I put in a request. I am loving the app Cobu that my complex has that let's me know what is happening and interacting with other tenants who live here. Overall will want to renew my lease when the time comes."

"another update: Caitlin (who said she was new) reached out to me over the phone and was very kind and understanding of my issues. While it took super long to get a response, I think it’s good that sola is hiring new people for the office that seem to actually want to do a good job. Raising rating from 2 stars to 4, Communication and customer service makes such a huge difference! The bad: rampant package thieves (they’ll even steal your DoorDash if you’re too slow to open your door for it), nobody from the office will call you back about it (called, left a voicemail, and emailed, no response), gate hardly works half the time, don’t expect carpets to be new when you move in, ours were covered in dog hair and reeked of urine. Walls are super thin. Buildings aren’t very well labeled so visitors and delivery people will not be able to find you. The good: maintenance is usually pretty fast. They steam vacuumed the carpets when I complained of the dog piss smell (back when I moved in and was able to get a hold of them). Update: been weeks since I posted this review, no one ever reached out or responded to my emails or calls I will say one other good thing I’ve thought about since posting, there’s a surprising lack of bugs. Been here over a year living on the first floor and besides the occasional silverfish, spider, and ONCE a small cockroach, really no bug issues. So they’ve got that going for them."

"Went to view an apartment. I was dealing with Ashley the assistant manager. She was very friendly and has an excellent personality. The only thing I didn’t like is that I wasn’t called to tell me that I wasn’t approved. I was on edge because I really wanted the apartment which Ashley knew. Instead of calling me I had to find out through a random email in my junk folder. I was just a little disappointed because she was so personable. I figured she would’ve told me herself. Other than that… beautiful property. Nice staff. I’d recommend."

"We've lived at Sola for a year and the past few months the community has gone down hill. The manager is new to the community and doesn't reply to any emails addressing the concerns we have. The fire alarms in our building have been randomly going off every week. When addressed to the office and emergency maintenance nothing has been done. It's scary having a young child and dog and the alarms blaring for no reason. Our emails and emergency maintenance call were never responded too. The pool has been an issue for months and again the new manager has ignored emails of concern. The resolution given to us was to call the police which we do every time. Very large parties with loud speakers, screaming, fighting, smoking until all hours of the night. Sola use to be a nice a place to live and we understand situations happen with 100's of people trying to coexist but to have the manager ignore you especially when its about safety is wrong. There are plenty of other communities in Jacksonville to choose to call home. This is one I would pass."

"I absolutely love living at sola. The apartments don’t feel like they’ve been lived in carpets floor everything feels nice and fresh. I love that the office is super close everyone takes care of the residents and they throw awesome community events. The Christmas event was a lot of fun. There’s awesome food trucks that stop by (I wish it wasn’t 90% wings) the apartment is always clean. I’ve never lived somewhere where I enjoyed the amenities. The office staff is amazing. Erin helped us with the lease and moving in and she’s been wonderful with any questions I’ve ever had. My only cons about the Sola is 1.) is the 4th floor is not all screened in on the outer ring of apartments 2.) I don’t think it’s necessary to require paying for a service to schedule packages to be delivered. A service that has horrendous reviews to begin with."
