"I'm currently renting from them It's honestly been a great experience overall no complaints"
"Pathetic company. Been renting here for 2 full years, going on my 3rd. Never been late on rent, very rarely do I have any maintenance requests (this is because the hassle it takes to get them out or the follow up), and never have I had complaints or anything of that nature against me. After renewing my lease for a third time, I had paid my increased rent, and noticed a balanced still of almost 50 dollars. When I called the office, I was quickly approached with attitude as I was trying to gather more information. After being explained that 50 dollars will be added onto every new lease for "resident benefit package", I was upset at the fact this was not noted or communicated in anyway to the tenants. Granted, after, reviewing the lease, they happen to sneak in this "clause" if you will, at the very end of the lease. However When reading the original rent payment with the late fee days, charges, etc, nothing was mentioned about this new charge. A simple flyer to every tennat, or even an email regarding the increase and new package would have been courtesy from the company. Instead, I got upset and rambled on about how unfair this is, only to get hung up on. I called back to ask for management, and the lady would scream back and tell me there's nothing I can do, and she's the management. At that point, I had threatened to "take advantage" of this new charge by making sure I have a maintenance request each month, thats when she hung up again. I said this obviously out of spite at the time due to nature of the call, however, After living here for 2 years with no problems at allwhatsoever, this is how I get treated after a simple miscommunication on what I feel like is on thier part. I should have read the lease with more accuracy, and this was a life lesson, however, still such a horrible experience from a bad customer service buisness. I read other reviews, and see they typically reply with more information that I seem to be leaving out, but I don't believe this is misleading in anyway. I called for help, I was given unfortunate news, I vocally disagreed with the decision (without using profanity nor volgar language) and got hung up on. Let it also be noted that I have put in an AC request immediately after. EDIT 12-11-23 As expected, you continue to be rude even with the replies to your constructive criticism reviews. Also, I received a notification that my home owner will be canceling their service with you guys, no surprise lol what comes around goes around. I don't think he will be "keeping you next year"."
"I rented from them for around two years. Overall, I would recommend. I never had any problems with maintenance requests and their staff are always nice. They were accommodating when I needed an extension on my lease. I got most of my deposit back. I wasn’t a fan of the added package; however, it increased my credit and my lender factored in my on-time rent payments from my credit report and now I am a homeowner. Con: they increased my rent every renewal. But with inflation and increased rates in homeowner insurance, I expected it. If I were ever to rent again, I would rent from them."
"Inconsistent agents. It's about a 50-50 shot on whether or not you get an agent at Village that is responsive. The last person I had dealt with, in which I wanted to rent a unit, stated she would call back in a day or two. It's been over a week, and nothing. This company also has some odd and rather outdated policies. You are able to pay your rent online, but you cannot pay your deposit in the same manner, and they will only accept a money order. In the modern area, and with working professionals, this is just unacceptable. Everything should be able to be done electronically. You have to apply electronically, you have to pay the application fee electronically, you sign documentation electronically, but cannot make the deposit in the same manner, completely illogical. Due to this, more than once, a unit that could have rented, was not."
"The receptionist was not very friendly and condescending about the type of business that I was looking to rent for. I wonder if the actual owners of the properties they manage know this? Or if the actual owners feel this way,? Either way she didn't have to have the attitude. Update! Their response was "No Massage Parlor" are allowed! Key word here is "Parlor"! They need to come out of the dark ages! I'm a License Medical Massage Therapist, licensed under the Florida Department of Health. No "Parlor"!"
