Lake Roy Beach Inn Winter Haven 1823 Cypress Gardens Boulevard, Winter Haven, FL 33884

"The room we had in the newer section in the two story bldg on the lake side (two sides to it), was better than we thought it would be, in that the king size bed was more comfortable than it looked or we thought it would be, and the room was large. It did have a fridge, micro, TV, hair dryer and coffee maker and a few outlets to charge devices, along with having a shared screened in porch with all the other maybe 5 other rooms looking out to the lake and pool. The bathroom is just average with a tub/shower combo that provides hot water and gets you clean. Toilet is low to ground, but doesn't run and flushes properly, but only a one person room, unless someone is in the tub already - no walking room, but that is most bathrooms in most places. The one Terrible thing (especially if u r a light sleeper), is the walls, windows and doors r so thin, u HEAR EVERYTHING. The TV and people's conversations in the room next door, the busy road right near the motel - we were trying to sleep between 11:30pm and 1am last night, and the couple on the opposite side facing the small street (not next door on our side of the lake, but behind us - two story bldg with two sides), came home, turned the TV on, talked about 30 min (could hear what they were saying and even walking or taking their shoes off and dropping them on the floor), and then when we thought they had settled down and were going to sleep, we were hearing the woman's sex moans "oh, oh, oh" and the like! Not loudly - she was trying to be quiet, but again, walls so thin, might as well have been right in the room filming them! We r here for 2 more nights - will see what happens next!"

"It’s my first time visit in this beach inn and the experience was amazing. The gentleman that helped us to check in is really nice. Our room was facing the lake and the view is super breathtaking. And it’s near everything. Super recommended."

"Terrible. Dirty , sheets dirty , sink had a hole in it , the door wasn’t closing completely. Expensive , payed $177 per night, the staircase was peeling and had holes in it . Disgusting"

"My husband and I have been staying here for 2 years. We found this beautiful hotel because we are with Rebuild Florida and they are helping us to fix our house from hurricane Irma. Of course we had to pack our belongings in pods and move out. This hotel that Jimmy and Susan own and run is absolutely beautiful. A lot of their hotel rooms have a separate kitchen and living room area that have full-sized refrigerators also an oven with 4 burners on the stove. The other so-called extended stay hotels do not even compare to this place. There are private screened-in patios and the view of Lake Roy is amazing. There is a beautiful swimming pool along with docks that you can fish off of. Housekeeping, Jackie, is amazing. She goes above n beyond her title in making you feel welcome and keeping your space clean n beautiful. You really need to experience this little piece of paradise yourself. "Stayed here for several months. Not the greatest motel ever, but with all the amenities and the good management I can't complain. The rooms were clean, showing some age but clean and tidy. I love the lake view."
