MAA Harbour Island

"The staff is friendly but there’s a whole lot of bugs due to the overall poor build quality. Lots of big cracks where the wall meets the floor, the windows, and doors. Had to order an exterminator numerous times for ants and big cockroach-like palmetto bugs. The geckos just live with me now, I didn’t even bother. Then the parking situation is a nightmare until you can get a reserved spot 5-6 months in (you’ll pay extra for that). You’re going to spiral up the parking garage endlessly every single day hoping you don’t end up with your car baking on the roof of the garage. If you’re a “car guy” (or girl) and have a nice car you care about you’re going to lose your mind with the situation here. If you have a guest visiting with a car you can just assume they’re out of luck with our “visitor parking” and will be paying $15/night to park a few blocks away in a public garage. I live on the first floor and I might as well just be sleeping on the road - it sounds like cars are driving next to my bed and that I’m part of every conversation of people walking by (wait until hockey season when the parking/noise problem triples). Keep in mind you are JUST paying for the location and there is nothing luxurious or high end about this place. You could save $700/month and live 8 minutes away in a cleaner quieter place with plenty of parking… BUT if you have no car, love insects, hockey, and whatever restaurants are in Channelside that you can walk to then THIS is the place for you. Make sure you aren’t 1 day late for rent or you will be charged $75 promptly on the 2nd day of the month. I"

"Moved here from MAA Hyde Park and both have been a great experience. Staff is very helpful, maintenance team is great, the complex is kept very clean and you can’t beat the location over in Harbour Island. If I had one knock on anything here it’d just be the echoed barking from the dog park after work but that’s more on the tenants than anything else. Great experience so far and would highly recommend!"
