"i am very disappointed with Vinoy apartment management. I moved into building 276 for 10 months with no issues until rent was raised so i switched units to building 656 for the unit was cheaper but a huge downsize. I would have never moved into this unit if i knew how many issues it would have. To start, this building definitely used to be a hotel so they converted an old hotel room into a studio which has caused a lot of issues. My closet is extremely small and someone decided to seal up one of the doors in which i had to request maintenance to saw open the door which took over two weeks to finally get someone to assist. At first, they told me they were going to replace the entire door but then decided to just saw it open not replacing the door so it still doesn't slide open nicely. It has been about four months since then and now this place has a terrible rat infestation. I let the apartment managers know almost a month ago and pest control came out one time to set a single trap behind my stove. I live in a 400 sqft apartment with rats?! no thank you. Absolutely disgusting because a rat was caught by one of the traps and i came home to it smelling like dead animal. pest control did not come and rid of the dead animal so i had to take care of it myself and throw it away in order for me to sleep comfortably. Two days later, my cat caught another rat which scurried under my bed and i ended having to kill it with a broom causing a ruckus which made my neighbors very upset. i found holes on my own and the apartment maintenance decided to tape the holes with white duct tape....rats can chew through metal pipes...but duct tape?! c'mon.. It seems like no one wants to help my situation.. nor compensate for the issues that i've had to deal with. it came to the point where i had to call the health dept. To top it all off, when i used my dishwasher, it leaked to the first floor into my neighbors unit which could be hazardous of black mold. Luckily, they are replacing the dishwasher but that is the least of my worries. I don't want to live with rats anymore for i love my place and the location but it seems like the only option they're giving me is to move units once it opens up in january which is not solving the issue whatsoever. The managers have not made this a #1 priority when i have gotten 2 other friends to move into the other units and its such a bad look on my part because now my friends are also dealing with this problem. Looks like this whole apartment needs a bulldozing."
