Reviews
"We were lucky to move in sight unseen to enjoy 2 years of beautiful sunsets and the odd dolphin most evenings , looking directly over the still marina waters from our living and dining area. The location on the water and near some good eats and happy hours as well as spectacular sunsets are the best thing about Town Westshore. Even if your unit doesn't face the water, the walking path is right here as are community BBQs. The neighbors and staff are wonderful generally. When inevitably something went awry (any apartment does now and then) the staff and maintenance were right on top of it. Although we are moving into a new larger home after a long run of apartment living, this place will always hold dear memories for our family, easily taking the cake for best apartment. Thank you TW!"
"TLDR: Find somewhere else to live. And if you are a current resident, please consider hiring an attorney. And purchasing a black mold test kit from Home Depot, Lowes, or Amazon. Read on. I lived at Town Westshore since 2020. I am saddened to have to write this review because I really love the community and the people who live there. It has fantastic amenities, including a sauna that I use every day, a hot tub, a beautiful pool, multiple grills, and great views. They have a wonderful cleaning and maintenance staff, and D in particular is a wonderful guy. Unhappily, the management does not let them thrive - ostensibly to save a dollar. More on this in a bit. I am sad to report there are four very big problems at Town Westshore. The construction quality is quite poor. While the amenities are amazing, the apartments are not. The walls are paper-thin, the roof was quite literally falling apart, the crowning and molding is terrible (bugs get in all the time), the appliances have many issues, the flooring is not level, the hallway carpets are absolutely disgusting, and in general, you just don't get that for which you pay. Still, the amenities and location are so convenient I felt it was worth the money. Side note: the water pressure and temperature are so low that you will learn to take 5 minute showers or cold showers or baths. I am told this is due to the management company's concern over liability. Interestingly enough, other luxury apartments in Tampa do not suffer from the same problem. More about that management company, TRG. While the employees who work in the leasing office are sweet and seem friendly, they tend to lie, obfuscate, and mislead about every single potential issue. It seems that is a matter of course for TRG, so I do not hold it against them personally. TRG seems to be quite awful, and I will never again rent from any property managed by this soulless entity. In particular, the Leasing Office Assistant Manager lies as a matter of course. I am not sure whether it is her nature or her training or both, but she defaults to lying whenever she is faced with any challenging situation. I can provide more details, but out of respect to her, I will withhold her name and hold my tongue unless they decide to respond to this review with even more lies. Let's talk about the roof: they have been working on the roof for over a year. Every day the residents need to work around yellow tape in front of almost every entrance, even when no roofing is being conducted in that area. I can appreciate the massive effort it takes to put in a new metal roof, but it is my opinion that the developer made a deliberate and calculated decision to put the building up as fast as possible, and deal with the fallout later. Finally, many residents have reported to me that they have found black mold in their apartments - particularly those on the highest (fourth) floor. I do not know whether this is accurate, but after hearing about it from five different residents in a matter of weeks, it is kind of hard to imagine they are just pulling this from thin air. You see, the roof used to leak - a lot. I really loved living here prior to about 2023. I am not sure whether the management company changed or what happened, but the place is falling apart and the people running it are dishonest as a matter of course. If you do not believe me I encourage you to reach out to me. I have made an email address - townwestshoreproblems AT gmail DOT com. I will be happy to answer any and all questions you may have or refer you to other disgruntled residents. To the management: it took me a while to catch on to you guys, because I am trusting and friendly by nature, but I started recording all interactions a few months ago after I realized how you operate. Try me. I have the receipts and the tapes. If you are considering living here I strongly encourage you to look elsewhere. Move here at your own peril."
"Kyla was an incredible help during my touring and application process, the way she seamlessly made my move-in process was top of the line. Aside from that, I can say this has been one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever lived in. This place makes you feel like you are on vacation destination everyday. I recommend this apartment complex 20 out of 10 eyes closed."
"Jacqueline and her staff are truly amazing! The manager here truly listens to your needs and concerns. I am a small business owner, I knew the location would be beneficial however, I never could have imagined having so much support within a community! The views; sunsets. The property is so well maintained. There are many pet owners, but you’d never know this by walking the halls (no pet odors). Town Westshore and staff, truly heaven sent since moving back to Tampa Bay. The complaints of noise and bugs; it is normal noise apartment living. The silverfish are very few and harmless. And let’s not even begin to speak of the incredible neighbors who have moved here from all over. Please take the time to visit for yourself. I have no regrets at all about moving here! The convenience of St. Pete, Tampa, Clearwater (close to expressway and Gandy bridge) priceless!"
