"I lived here for less than 3 months. I can’t stress enough how important it is to read the negative reviews about this place. The moving in process was a bit of a pain, miscommunications from the office, no move in equipment and once I got my keys I had to actually ask them to show me where my apartment was because they didn’t think to offer. My main reason for moving out was initially the noise, but after my experiences with Ashley from the front office and Priscilla the property manager upon move out, I’m even more grateful I made the choice to leave asap. Wow! I have never lived in an apartment where I can hear conversations from the apartment next to me. Dogs barking all day long. Every footstep, music playing, neighbors being intimate. The walls and floors are SO thin and I work from home, so it ground on me. When asked why I didn’t report my neighbors instead of choosing to move, I told the property manager I felt that would be petty to report normal day to day noises that could only be heard because the building is poorly constructed. I felt it was best to just remove myself since I signed a clause in my lease that I could pay 2 months up front to break it. Once I made the choice to leave, I was warned by Priscilla in the front office to give at least 60 days notice or I would need to pay 2 months of rent, plus one month of rent for insufficient notice, plus damages. It totaled over $6,000. I told her that didn’t sound right to me and in an email I asked if she could reiterate what she told me on the phone and itemize the charges so I could have a lawyer friend who understands lease jargon better than I do, look it over. She instantly became defensive at the word “lawyer” and refused to put what she told me on the phone in a written email. When I asked her why she wouldn’t repeat what she told me on the phone she continued to tell me to read my lease and I’d be charged accordingly. When I told her I wasn’t understanding the lease, she referred me back to reading my lease and said she could no longer discuss it with me. Upon move out, Ashley walked me through my apartment to go over any potential damages and check if it was cleaned. Before I left she made sure to tell me their corporate office was still “figuring out” what my final charges would be for not giving 60 days notice and that she was not allowed to discuss it with me, while smiling in my face. Her attitude was disgusting. I asked if it was their first time having a tenant break a lease early and pay the two month fee. She said “no”, and that she couldn’t discuss it further with me. I don’t understand how breaking my lease early became so personal or trivial with these people. It happens all the time and now they have 2 months of rent and an empty apartment that could be rented out any day. It was so uncomfortable and I feel like there was a lack of integrity and transparency just because I didn’t agree to go about the situation in the way the property manager advised me to, which would’ve cost me more money according to what she told me. I’m grateful to be out of the situation and in a better apartment. I don’t believe the Addison should be advertised as “luxury” and it seems many reviewers share my sentiment. I guess at this point I wait for my big, elusive bill that I wasn’t allowed to know any details about. Good luck to future residents and I hope they seriously consider taking a hard look at their choices in staff after reading all of these reviews. What a nightmare."
"I have thoroughly enjoyed my transition to The Addison. Ashley and Ryan made the process very smooth and seamless for me. This complex is incredibly nice. The amenities are very nice and the appliances are new and work well. So far my experience has been a 10/10!"
"I am so happy I can honestly rate an apartment complex 5 stars! I never felt taken advantage of here (relative to other complexes) and even when they screwed up the billing, I contacted them and they promptly resolved it. It was an easy move in for a 2b/2b and easy move out. I also met my girlfriend, now fiancé, living here so single guys should give it a shot for that St Pete living even though it's a little bit of a drive to get downtown. However, It's not cheap. Don't live here if you have debt. Suggestions for complex: open the pool lounge on weekends and keep open after 5pm. I enjoyed shooting pool. Otherwise, please don't change management! Things are currently good here, don't mess it up like other apartment complexes do."
"Love love love this place!! From the residents to the Staff! It’s more than an apartment complex it’s a community And I have to say the amenities are wonderful"
