"Decent Place But They Just Need To Get Some Qualified Maintenance Staff."
"Great place to live, quiet neighborhood with respectful neighbors. I just wish there was a washer and dryer in the units, but there's a laundry facility on site that's nice! Maintenance is also quick to fix things. In fact when my ac broke recently, the maintenance supervisor, Thurman, came after hours and did his best to fix it. It ended up needing an extra part so he gave me a temporary window unit and installed it and came back the next day to finish the job! He was very professional and nice and his effort to fix my ac in a timely manner was definitely a life saver especially in the Florida heat. I really appreciated how he took time out of day when he was already off work to come and help me! Overall, The Lofts is a nice place to live and I've enjoyed my time here over the past 2 years."
"Old run down buildings with terrible and neglectful management. Things are constantly breaking down and the office literally never answers the phone or returns phone calls. My fiance and I have been leaving messages on their answering machine for weeks trying to ask questions and renew our lease but have yet to hear a response. The dumpster is always over flowing and half of the washers and dryers in the laundry room don't work. There is also no management or office building on site, which is especially inconvenient because they never answer the phone."
"I'm not happy that after hurricane Henrique, Tennant's who had car damage due to a falling tree were told today that there is to be no financial help. That it was an act of God! Well it was more of an act of negligence by the apt complex. I had an arborist come look at the tree that fell on my car and he said that it was gross negligence and that the trees roots had nowhere to grow due to where it was planted. So instead of just helping me with my car that was damaged due to their negligence, I now have contacted a lawyer to help me with this matter. It would have been a lot easier and cheaper for them to cover the damages! Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to COURT we go. I can't believe the. I've lived here over 4 years and really am hurt that they won't take responsibility for their negligence / my car damage. To bad people just don't do the right thing anymore. It's all about the money and greed. Shame on you Saul Silver!"
"I just wrote a really detailed review but Google decided to delete it. So, here we go again with a shortened version. This is from the point of view of someone who has only lived here for a little over 3 months and is in their early 20s. Pros; - Awesome location. There isn't a single thing you cannot buy in Butler Plaza, which is literally right down the street. You're also minutes away from Shands, UF and downtown. - Very pet friendly: There are plenty of cats and dogs around, big and small. Most of the people are very happy to see you and your dog. - Friendly atmosphere: The residents of Archer Woods all seem to know each other very well and like to hang out with each other. They were also very welcoming when I first moved in, eager to come say hello and ask if I needed anything. - Roomy apartments: I can't speak for the 2 bedrooms, but the 1 bedroom has a lot of space for the price. The loft style is something I really enjoy as well. - Pool and Access to Gym: I don't think I've seen anyone in the pool (granted, we're currently in the middle of autumn), but it's there to whoever wants it. There isn't a gym here but Regency Oaks is a sister complex right next store, and you're welcome to use their gym. Cons: - Washers and Dryers: There aren't any washer or dryer hookups in any of the apartments, and although there is a laundry room on site, obviously that can be a bit of a pain. It would be ten times easier if there was a quarter machine. Also, most of the dryers don't work. There are 6 dryers (and six washing machines), and 3 of them are known to steal quarters or just be out of order altogether. They've been that way since I've moved here. - Noise level: Personally, I wouldn't consider this a noisy complex, but other people may. Living right off of Archer Road means that you'll constantly hear cars rushing down the street at any given time, and being right down the street from Shands means you'll be hearing loud sirens several times a day. At this time there is construction going on at one of the restaurants next door, but if you live at the other side of the complex I'm sure you'll barely hear it, if at all. - Old buildings: The complex is at least 30 years old, and although that's not as big of a deal when keeping up with the appliances isn't your job, there are still some slight downsides. My apartment has obviously been repainted dozens of times, and there are some messy globs of paint on the banister and walls. The thermostat and plumbing system are also very old, and may not be the most cost efficient or energy saving. - The Landscaping Company: There's a landscaping crew that come by once a week to mow the lawn, blow leaves etc. Not that big of a deal, but they start around 8am and are extremely loud. They'll come right up to your front door to blow leaves away which I think is a little ridiculous. Also, the workers are a little strange. I've had one of the older guys bother me while I was walking my dog one evening by them saying things like "come over here" and "follow me" when I have never said a word to him. I definitely dread the Tuesdays that this company shows up. All in all, I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking! The location is my absolute favorite part and I highly recommend you come take a tour of the complex!"
