"For my fiancée who is a resident at Avidity Living: June 2, 2023, a unit above her unit had a water leak. Maintenance had a mold remediation company run two fans for about one week in her apartment. September 13, 2023, she put in a work order for the smell in the apartment and stated it smelled like mold and/or mildew and that the smell originated from the laundry room area, one of the areas where the water damage was located. She also indicated in her work order that the problem has been happening for approximately two months. October 11, 2023, the work order on September 13, 2023, was closed, without fixing the problems. November 21, 2023, she informed the manager about the smell coming from the laundry room area and the health problems she has been having. November 30, 2023, she received a response stating that, “I'm going to speak with Tim today and will get back to you shortly.” January 2, 2024, she sent a Notice to Landlord per Florida Statutes via certified mailed and hand delivery. January 3, 2024, she received an email from the manager they will be by in the afternoon. They told her to “wipe the inside of the washer” and they will replace the rubber ring in the washer. January 22, 2024, she received an email from the manager stating, “we will look into replacing the rubber ring, I will get with the maintenance team and get back to you.” February 17, 2024, she sent an email to the manager stating that she will be moving out on February 29, 2024, because nothing was fixed, the smells are still there, and her health is getting worse. She told them that they are in violation of Florida’s Implied Warranty of Habitability and because of their refusal to fix anything and due to their negligence, her health problems have exacerbated, and now being asked to pay to move. If I could give zero stars, I would. It seems as if the apartment complex and the manager, Erika, care more about the bottom line than the tenants who pay to live there."
"After living at Avidity for around seven months, I still love this place. It’s a great environment and I would highly recommend! Every month they’re multiple thoughtful and fun community events to participate in, and all the staff are very friendly and helpful."
"The front office promised a lot when we first moved here, but after a short time we noticed that they just wanted to charge you rent and that's it. It's been almost a year and we've had nothing but problems trying to get things fix. Our refrigerator filter went bad and it took us 2 months to replace it after multiple requests and talking to office staff. From the time we moved in we noticed that 2 of the 4 burners on the stove were having issues, after confirming the sensor was faulty it has still been a huge hassle to fix. We have had to cook using only 2 burners for almost 11 months and counting. Our washing machine stopped draining a month ago and yet, after escalating over and over again, it seems that nothing is happening. And on top of that, you can hear footsteps, people having intimacy, arguments, everything, there is no privacy. We moved here with great joy but we are at a point where that we are counting the days until our contract ends. Be careful when moving here."
"Despite the multiple issues my roommate and I had with the management staff, this one takes the cake. Upon moving out of avidity, there was an issue with the resident portal and our prorated rent was not reflected. Once that issue was resolved, there was no option for us to actually pay it. Again, we reached out to management (physically went into the office, emailed, and called) and got no resolution and no response to calls and emails. Our final correspondence requested that the remaining balance be taken from our security deposit. Again, no response. Fast forward to today (6 months later) we receive a colllections notice in the mail. We never received one call, email, or letter in the mail regarding this issue. Our phone numbers have not changed and they had our forwarding addresses. We also never received a summary in the mail of where our security deposit went. I have never been so disappointed and so frustrated with an apartment complex. Rent at your own risk!"
"I love living here. Apartments are new and clean. Any issues I've had, maintenance has been on top of it. Tim has always been so kind, patient and helpful! Zach is awesome too. Front office has always been there to answer the million questions I have about anything. Melissa especially has been patient with me from before I moved in. Everyone is amazing here."
