"We’ve been here since September. It’s a safe neighborhood, clean and quiet for the most part. The staff is friendly, and more or less helpful. Unfortunately, when we moved in they said the gym should be open in a month (due to renovations), here we are in February and they say it should be open soon. The hot tub & gated community are 2 of the main reasons we chose this complex. The hot tub breaks very often and it has now been broken since December (I have emailed and called many times). They have been working on getting it fixed but still haven’t been able to get it working. As for the gated community, they blame it on strong winds, or the residents breaking the back gates, but something has to be done. The gates have been taken off since about October and not put back on. You can’t advertise a gated community if it’s never actually fully gated. Disappointed in these empty promises of “it should be fixed soon”."
"My rental agent was amazing and she pretty much covered all of the bases. The three units I looked at were nice and recently remodeled. But there was a smell in each unit. I didn't bother to ask where it was coming from."
"12/27 finally started move in. Apt was clean and for most part but floors not mopped. Shower curtain rod in master bath did not fit to hold the rod and took a few days to get that fixed. But as of today we are all moved in! Maintenance supervisor was very nice. Thank you for listening Lake 28."
"Stayed here for a year and what they want in rent is just not worth it. The renovations were done very cheaply, our paint was peeling everywhere from the start of our move in and our kitchen sink was nearly falling out because it wasn’t installed correctly we probably have had more then 30 maintenance requests within the 12 months we stayed. For a nice apartment the hallways and stair wells are very dirty. Our back porch flooded all year round. Every time there was heavy rain or a storm, they never fixed our screens on the porch. We had a total of six ceiling leaks which they just came in and sprayed with killz paint and eventually got to the roof. All AC is horrible during the summer time but these ones are definitely outdated and we spent June and July with 78 to 89 degree heat within the apartment our ac did not work properly at all and it didn’t make a difference when maintenance came to fix it, it just wouldn’t last long and could not keep up with the heat which is not there fault. The washer and dryer they have in the apartments are definitely not new or updated we ended up installing our own. The ants are really bad here as well especially in the rooms. The hot tub never worked while we stayed here and the gym was closed most of the year and the car wash station was not always accessible to us. The back gate to get into the apartments on the side are constantly open and what’s the point of having them if anyone can just come right in it’s pointless. I’m not the type of person to not stay at a place for more then a year but after the increase for the renewal went up more then a $100 and we had all these problems and inconveniences we were glad we made the decision to not renew."
"So far so good, but the spike in the rent that went up by 250.00 is a bit too much from the normal 50.00 that it went up in the past years. I would love to make this my forever home/apartment but with the high increases, it could be challenging for me this year. Other than that, the views are great, especially after rainfalls. Maintenance is spot on. I needed my a/c unit checked and cleaned out from the outside and maintenance was at our door in less than an hour. Thanks to the maintenance crew ad the app that allows to leave a message, that was followed by a phone call from the office, letting us know help was on the way."
