"I’ll come right off the top by saying this is a very soft 3 star rating, because my girlfriend and I have actually had quite a pleasant experience living here. I’d easily be convinced to jump this rating up to 4 or even 5 stars with a bit of action taken by the staff. Starting with the apartment itself; it is spacious, clean and well maintained upon move-in. We did have a few issues with utilities and loose hardware when we arrived that were addressed quickly. Lots of closet space. Plenty of sink countertop room in the bathroom. I’ve noticed our climate control is a bit off for the bedroom, usually stays colder than other parts of the apartment. I like to sleep in a cold room, but it can get a bit excessive sometimes. In unit washer/dryer is a must have. Complex amenities are mostly nice, but left me slightly disappointed. The parking spots seem a bit oversized, which I personally like because it gives my car space from others. Never had an issue not finding reasonable parking relative to my apartment. Food trucks will park by our building and cause a bit more of a parking mess, but never egregiously so. The pool is great in the summer, never had issues with cleanliness. We’ve only tried to use the hot tub maybe twice, one of which it was inoperative. I’ve seen some complaints that it often does not work but I personally cannot speak to this. The gym is about as adequate as I could expect. It’s not state-of-the-art, but that’s not an issue and it is a worthy upgrade from my first apartment and has most equipment you would need for a basic fitness regiment. The downside of amenities: When we got here a year ago, the front gate was inoperative and we were told they were waiting on a part to fix it. The security feeling of a gate was one big selling point for me on these apartments, so you can imagine my disappointment that a year has passed with no stated timeline in place, which is odd because the staff does engage regularly via email with updates to residents. I cannot recall a single instance in which the printer in the shared office area had ink, which you’d think for a business that would be a minute problem to solve. Staff is always happy to accommodate printing for you, but it doesn’t change my discomfort of having to go through a middleman to print some documents. Valet trash pickup: it costs a great bit and im starting to question if it’s even worth it. Pick ups have gotten progressively later, and I really don’t like leaving our can out overnight because ive had issues with folks leaving empty liquor bottles and other trash in our can overnight. *sigh*….lets talk about the dog park. Disgusting. Don’t even bother using it. I fully understand that it is residents responsibility to clean after their dogs, but at some point you’d think there would be some enforcement of the policy, at least for the one area where people will regularly to be walking to let their animals have some off-leash play time. That’s actually probably a good Segway to start talking maintenance. For the apartments themselves, A+. I don’t think Ive had one instance of a maintenance request that was not completed the same day or following day. Maintenance has been friendly, cooperative with working around our schedule and addresses our needs quickly. Besides the poop problems, the outdoor maintenance of the apartments seems good. The office was very friendly with us when we were going through our first lease, which is as expected. But we’ve had no issues with them since either, they have always been polite with us, easy to reach and able to help with any problems. The property manager is a very pleasant person to speak with. Accounting for the nation-wide cost of living crisis, the price is relatively reasonable, but I feel the actual value falls a smidge short. But after bad experiences with cheaper apartments in Pensacola, I’m still happy to have renewed my lease with a very welcoming and comfortable apartment home. In conclusion, yes this place could do a bit better, but could also do a lot worse. Not a horrible value at all."
"This is one of the best if not the best places to live. The staff here is amazing especially the maintenance crew. Very professional and accommodating in every way. Very few issues in the four years that we have lived here. I highly recommend to anyone single or a family to look into."
"We’ve loved living at Marcus pointe. We moved to Pensacola from Alabama and this was a great place to call home as we searched for a more permanent home. I have two babies under two and feel incredibly safe here, it’s super convenient to pretty much anywhere you want to be in Pensacola. The apartment is incredibly spacious, even with only having two bedrooms we are still all able to feel like we have our own space. Anytime, we have a maintenance request. They are very on top of it and typically respond within a day and have it fixed. And the maintenance man is one of my son’s favorite people. The accommodations with the pool in the workout facility and just a nice area to be able to walk around and play with their kids has been so nice, and it’s a very quiet area so it feels pretty relaxed. They also have fun get together‘s and food trucks out pretty often and are incredibly pet friendly but in a very respectful way to everyone even if you’re not a pet person. They have been very kind to us in our transition to Pensacola, and even our transition to moving into a house. They’ve done everything that they can to make all that as smooth as possible and to be as helpful to our growing family as they can be. I would highly recommend living at Marcus pointe grand to anybody. It is an incredibly central and nice location. It’s probably one of the only apartments that really gonna feel like having your own house. And to anyone who thinks that it is pretty pricey, it is, but you do get what you pay for, and the cheaper ones in Pensacola After looking at a ton of apartments are not even worth the cheaper price they asked for. With this housing market too, it is about what a mortgage would be, so honestly, it’s been a great investment for us for this period of time. 10/10 ♥️♥️♥️"
"Just being generous I give it 1 star as at first in April my experience was wonderful with Jordan who unfortunately no longer works here. We have been in the apartment for about 6 to 7 months now and we have had a mold outbreak from the kitchen, dining room, vents and even our living room all over the walls and power outlets. Now we did the proper thing and let maintenance and the apartment staff know of the issue but that’s when things took a turn for the worse. See the last week I’ve been through hell and back with the apartment I mean the maintenance lack of sense and knowledge does not help with communication. We politely asked her about the situation and they took no accountability she had no sense of responsibility, integrity and had a nasty attitude through our situation. They won’t take accountability for the apartments humidity issue or even do proper diagnoses on what’s causing the mold instead they have put the blame on us as tenants. We were told that we had brought it into the apartment as if we slapped it against the wall. As we have been living outside the apartment due to it being unlivable we weren’t offered no help on finding a place to stay or even given a prorate on rent unless we signed something that we were to give up our 1st amendment and take full responsibility for their problem. They expect insurance to cover everything but in the state of Florida they only cover mold by flooding not by moisture. As veteran and I highly recommend not only military but civilians also to strongly avoid this apartment by any means as it’s a risk towards your health and rights as a citizen. Cutting corners, poor maintenance, shady business practices and shady staff are the main problems of this apartment. You might wanna choose another apartment as this would not be worth the amount they ask what you to pay. You will be given a facade but when you sign that lease things will fall apart."
"It was an easy process getting my application answered, Jordan was more than happy to assist me anyway I needed and when I got there, this whole property exceeded all expections! I did really like how friendly everyone always seemed, and through their site they have a way to send maintenance requests and the guys are always really polite and respectful when attending to it. They also respond quickly! ★★ It is in a nice location, I did appreciate that. very pleased with my whole experience!! Highly recommend! I also love the whole "little community" feel of the place."
