"We had a great stay and experienced what we expect from the Comfort Inn brand. Clean rooms, great price, quiet, and quick breakfast with fresh eggs and sausage with biscuits and gravy as well as oatmeal, cereal, toast, coffee, etc. It is also an excellent location for those staying in Chipley. Staff was very professional and responsive. Other friends staying there at same time also had a great experience. Thank you, Comfort Inn!"

"Don’t do it. Trust me it’s not worth it. We arrived for check-in at 10 pm. This room was booked a month prior, we are in town with a group. The elevator is a 50-50 shot of taking 2 minutes or 20 minutes and smells like someone smoked a whole carton of cigarettes in it. As you exit to the 2nd floor the carpet I assume has soaked up the odor and the whole floor smells. We enter our room put down bags, and go into restroom to find the toilet is FULL. We understand things happen and try to flush and move on. Nope. We try again because things happen and we understand that’s. Nope. It will not even flush. So we load our belongings back up and go to desk. Sorry no more rooms available. Well can maintenance please fix the issue we require a working toilet.(again we are with a group and don’t really want to move to another place) Sorry no but they own the same establishment next door we can stay there for same price. Ummm number one no, you should be offering a room no charge for inconvenience, and two it has worse ratings than this one. Just a refund and we will stay somewhere else. Sorry I will have to ask manager. Really? Whatever we will check with manager tomorrow…. We will see if we are refunded for the room that we basically walked in and out of. I do understand the woman at the desk really may not have the power to authorize a refund, however we will be returning to meet up with our group so hopefully we will have the opportunity to speak with the owner. This low review is not for the money is is more so about the surprise in our room, the overall lack of care that the room was left in that state and the overall lack of cleanliness of the entire establishment. I am very disappointed I did not take photo evidence of the restroom to share. Just do yourself a favor. Stay 7 miles away at the Holiday Inn express. We got the same room and better continental breakfast for $20 more. The whole place is cleaner and staff was more professional. A quick edit- they said no to refund and have proceeded to charge our card 3x. We are letting credit card company handle this."

"Hands down the absolute worst experience in all of my years of traveling. Went for my child's band competition and right away the elevator is out of order. No big deal, stuff happens right? Next off the hallways smell putrid like an ashtray shoved in your face. Maybe not the property's fault I guess, some guests are just bad people and smoke where they shouldn't I guess. We get to our room and there is an enormous pile of excrement left in the toilet. Attempted to flush it but the toilet is broken. We went to the front desk and asked to swap rooms, were advised there were no more rooms. Asked for a refund and the front desk told me that had to come from the owner to come back the next day. We come back the next day but get the same story from a different attendant, refunds have to come from the owner. I leave my information for the owner, meanwhile they run my credit card 3 times in a row and Chase fraud alerts stopped them from triple charging me. One week later I call to check the status of my refund since no one has contacted me and they told me they were not going to refund me. I can not overstate how horrible this place is, to charge me for something so disgusting and refuse to give me my money back for a stay that was not even fit for a human to stay in. Wretched horrible place."

"Beds were comfortable, tub in bathroom slow to drain, ice bucket filthy, After a long day of driving it served its purpose. Rooms were musty smelling. Spoke to housekeeper who was still cleaning rooms at 730pm. Was informed she doesn't check everything if it looks like the object has not been touched. Sounds to me like this establishment needs better management. Would only recommend for 1 night stay. And if I were you I would check the room before you check in."

"Wanted to make a quick beach trip while going through GA. Hotel prices on Panama Beach were really high for peak season, so we looked more inland. First, Chipley looks close to the beach, but it's a 50 min. drive in and back everyday. Chipley itself doesn't have much to offer. The hotel does not look as good as the pictures online. It's a little older and the grounds aren't anything special. There is another motel next door and I didn't feel unsafe, but I was worried about the parking and my car being safe. The staff was nice. The room smelled like mildew the whole time. They shut the AC down when the room isn't being used so when you walk in you get a blast of hot smelly air. Doesn't set well with allergies. Had to blast the AC the whole time just to keep the smell down and the humidity down. Our clothes never dried and the carpet always felt wet. Bring some shoes to always walk in. To stay 50 min from the beach and to still pay $130 night probably wasn't worth it for the gas and time you pay going back and forth. For a quick cheap room, it's your place. For a nice FL stay and beach visit, find something else."
