"The good. Its a very nice room. Comfortable king size bed, big bathroom, wet bar in the room with small refrigerator and microwave. It is located at the very south end of the tourist area but everything is in a comfortable walking distance. However the two chairs in the room are like sitting in a bucket. The Bad. This is where you park to unload. You have 15 minutes or get towed. Your parking is a little over a half a mile away and you walk on unlighted streets. So if you forget your glasses in the car and go get them you have over a mile trek to get them. There are lots of homeless people here. I don't know if they are dangerous or not but I don't want to find out. Use google maps and check for yourself. You park at 154 Cordova street. These are the worn stairs you go up to the rooms. Careful in the rain. The room door lock has no deadbolt. Just a standard latch. The deadbolt knob is there but no latch. As you can see from the photo, it has already been subjected to forced entry at least once and inadequately repaired. The room is NOT secure. There is a modern split system AC unit over the door but oddly there is a small window unit also. My guess is that they have a problem cooling the room off in the summer. We are in January and its okay. We were in Bayview room 1. You can get a glimpse of the bay as you look past the buildings in the other side of the road, so technically they are correct. But don't overexpect. The next time we come to St. Augustine we are staying at the Best Western It is centrally located and has on site parking."
"We came for a quick weekend getaway and to see the lights for the holiday. The room was clean and adorable! It is located where the fun begins. Yes, parking is a couple blocks away. There is a loading and unloaded in front of the hotel. Then you can move your vehicle. You are not going to need it anyway as everything is walkable. We stayed Friday-Sunday(NYE) We loved the location, the bed was very good comfortable."
"My wife and I found this place just not up to the price. Parking is offsite and is a problem at nite walking thru the neighborhood or when it rains. Very inconvenient. This neighborhood is not safe at night. The police told us to walk to the main road to walk to the hotel which makes the trip around 15 minutes to the hotel. DO NOT WALK THRU THIS NEIGHBORHOOD IN THE DARK. We will not be staying here again."
"Cool little room with a neat view! The staff was quick and helpful with any questions and issues i ran into, bed was mega comfortable and the champagne is good (were having it for breakfast right now). Offsite parking is fine, theres complaints about it but i know when we come here we know we'll be walking anyway, it was only about a 5 min walk, no biggie. Only issue i had was the door code didnt work, but i called and it got fixed, also not a big deal. Ill for sure be coming back."
"If I didn’t have to give this establishment 1 star. I absolutely wouldn’t. I have never been so disappointed that I chose to spend my wedding anniversary weekend with this company. I received an automated email the morning of my check In that was supposed to include my room info and key code but didn’t populate the actual information I needed. So I had to call the guest service line multiple times. They told me I should also receive an email when my room was ready that never came. So we decided just to show up and hope it was ready around 4p. We were confused and surprised on arrival that as a inn guest you are not permitted to park in the lot literally attached to the inn. And instead given a map to an apartment parking lot “4” blocks away. It is really closer to 8, and had the potential to have no available parking as we found out and had to call guest service again on what to do. After circling the historic district 3 times. We then pushed our belongings 8 blocks to the inn. We found a room with a jammed door and a “bay view” that viewed only a building. See photos. Dinged up walls and a clearly water damaged ceiling. We then walked 5 blocks to the nicer property that manages Bella bay, since there is no one at the actual inn. We expressed our frustration and disappointment on how the day had been spent. They seemed to care, however were sure to tell us multiple times they didn’t own the building and only managed it. All that was offered was free breakfast at a property we weren’t staying at and could walk to. Great customer service. I will never return, and I’m still actively staying here since I had no choice as everything is booked. I will be sure to warn others severely when talking about St. Augustine. A good location only takes you so far. Also to note, the rooms do not look like those on the website and in the photo below the window is also cracked."
